So many questions. However, you maintain that the committee you sit on is non-partisan because it addresses issues of people, not parties?

We don’t push a political or ideological agenda, if that’s what you mean. That horse already left the barn during elections.

We advise on the best way to allocate spending and state budgets.

It’s a reoccurring theme .

THINK THE WAY I DO OR ELSE

Liberals don’t want negotiation or opposing views.

Their goal is to break you to their will .

Liberalism is synonymous with control freak .

Which isn't really liberalism. These people are actually authoritarians. They just still use the "liberal" label because it's easier to sell that way. Actual liberals abhor the current behavior we're seeing from the far left, which sadly is becoming less and less of a fringe movement and is becoming the mainstream part. Sure there's plenty of extremists on the right too, but for the most part they are shunned.

Old man? A frail old man? What about DC Cowboy's posts and avatar make one believe he's a frail old man that can't handle online criticism? Are you an ageist? Now we have to temper our replies to the aged? Maybe our ages should be posted with our other stats.

I think you insult the old guy.

It doesn't bother me but it seems to be of paramount importance to you . Important enough to completely derail this thread at least.

Whoa, whoa, easy on the facts. You know they don't deal in those.

Hey, this thread is about Oregon politics. DC Cowboy entered the thread as a Oregon representative, through his committee affiliation.

If you have something to say about the lawmaker who threatened to kill state troopers, say it. No one is stopping you.

No I didn't. You did. It should be "bi" instead of "non", according to your corrective post. I don't care either way.

So now you get to determine what kind of committee it is?

So, what makes this committee "non-partisan"?

Because we have equal amount of people on the committee that are left and right.

All sides, opinions are heard.

Not one side or partisan opinion is heard over another

So, it's not non-partisan. It's "equal partisan". That's like saying you sit on a non-gender committee, because it consists of equally divided men, women and LGBTQers.

Okay

No. They put their partisan goals aside to find areas of agreement. They didn't go in as representative of their parties. They went in for a common goal.

So. they came to a bi-partisan agreement? I think that's the word you're looking for. I know how important it is for libs to get their labels correct.
