the new deal with mexico means they have to wait in mexico until their asylum claims are ruled on mexican president is even selling his plane to help pay for the new deal www.reuters.com...

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Wednesday the sale of the former presidential jet and other aircraft from the last government would help fund efforts to curb migration under a deal struck last week with Washington. The agreement reached on Friday averted escalating import tariffs of 5% on Mexican goods, which U.S. President Donald Trump had vowed to impose unless Mexico did more to contain migration via Central America to the United States. In return, Mexico has agreed to toughen up its migration controls, including deploying its National Guard security force to its southern border with Guatemala. “About how much this plan is going to cost, let me say, we have the budget,” Lopez Obrador said at his regular daily news conference. “It would come out of what we’re going to receive from the sale of the luxurious presidential plane.” Lopez Obrador said the price tag of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner used by his predecessor Enrique Pena Nieto would start at $150 million, citing a United Nations evaluation. The plane has been on sale for several months. As soon as he took office in December, the leftist announced plans to sell the plane, whose spacious interior includes a bedroom and is emblazoned with official government seals on the walls and flat-screen monitors. The jet was acquired in late 2012 for $218 million. It is on sale along with 60 government planes and 70 helicopters.
so if any one wants a fancy plane and has roughly 150 million laying around they are auctioning it off along with other air assets

In a joint declaration, both countries said Mexico agreed to immediately expand along the entire border a program that sends migrants seeking asylum in the US back to Mexico while they await adjudication. The country also agreed to increase enforcement to contain the flow of migrants headed to the US, including by deploying national guard troops to its southern border and cracking down on human smuggling, the declaration said. On Saturday, before going to his golf club in Virginia, Trump thanked Mexico’s president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, his foreign minister and “all of the many representatives of both the United States and Mexico, for working so long and hard to get our agreement on immigration completed!”

but in all fairness apparently the trade goods part may not be finalized or even occuring per politico www.politico.com... but seems ethanol via corn is the leading theory

That would require a modicum of honesty.

My family and I came to US to escape the # they're trying to pull here. My parents and I knocked on the front door and then waited to be let in as political refugees. The US is the most generous and welcoming nation on Earth, and the democrats have the god damned cojones to use that as a weapon against their fellow citizens. It's disgusting.

Same here - my family came in the hard way. All legal. I remember my family being fingerprinted just so we could get residency. I was 15. I'm now 62 and I still think more of this country than many Americans, especially those under 20. It's extremely sad.
AMERICAN BY CHOICE

Democrats are thumbing their noses, and disrespecting individuals and families who came to America THE RIGHT WAY. A royal slap in the face to all legal immigrants.

And in the same breath they claim if you are against ‘ILLEGAL’ immigration then you are somehow ‘anti immigration’.

I think it’s an IQ thing

We are at frequently on the battleground in Florida to keep it from flipping blue, but we need help too!
If Florida flips blue the security of this nation could be gravely at risk.

Don't worry. Most of America will be "RED", come November 2020.

The census is about population, not citizenship.

Population determines representation.

Illegals being counted is a misrepresentation of population, and therefore political representation in the House of representatives.

That in itself is in Violation of MORE than One Law , WTF ?

Lawlessness - being without law; uncontrolled by a law; unbridled; unruly; unrestrained:

Is Illegality Now considered Lawful to Some in this Country Now ? Mentally Challenged Individuals MAYBE ........

Juan got drunk and killed Sarah. Sarah was the daughter of Mary/Jim Richards, of Birmingham Alabama.

Juan came into the United States illegally. Juan was a criminal the moment he set foot on U.S. soil.

If there was a wall, it's 90% certain that Juan would not be here.

Mary and Jim would still be exchanging love with their daughter Sarah.

THE WALL IS MANDATORY...(If you care about American lives, that is.)

If you're a Liberal, ignore this post. You're being controlled by dark forces. Logic/Reason won't help you.

Just think of how prosperous our country would be if Democrats cared more about Americans!

A $21.5B surplus isn't prosperous?

Americans care the most about the "prosperity" within their own family.

Amazingly, the poor saps who consume only liberal media, think THE WALL is still pending...its construction is being held up by Pelosi and the gang! Thankfully the number of people watching/reading only liberal media is steadily shrinking.

Democrats dont care more about illegal immigrants than they do for U.S. citizens... they probably don't care less for them either... but they certainly do care more about immigrant votes than they do for U.S. citizens.

But don't take my word for it ...

How the Democrats Lost Their Way on Immigration written by a liberal [Peter Beinart] in a liberal publication [the Atlantic]

Between 2008 and 2016, Democrats became more and more confident that the country’s growing Latino population gave the party an electoral edge. To win the presidency, Democrats convinced themselves, they didn’t need to reassure white people skeptical of immigration so long as they turned out their Latino base. “The fastest-growing sector of the American electorate stampeded toward the Democrats this November,” Salon declared after Obama’s 2008 win. “If that pattern continues, the GOP is doomed to 40 years of wandering in a desert.”

...As the Democrats grew more reliant on Latino votes, they were more influenced by pro-immigrant activism.

...Alongside pressure from pro-immigrant activists came pressure from corporate America, especially the Democrat-aligned tech industry, which uses the H-1B visa program to import workers.

...This combination of Latino and corporate activism made it perilous for Democrats to discuss immigration’s costs

...progressive commentators now routinely claim that there’s a near-consensus among economists on immigration’s benefits.

There isn’t. According to a comprehensive new report by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, “Groups comparable to … immigrants in terms of their skill may experience a wage reduction as a result of immigration-induced increases in labor supply.”

... But academics sometimes de-emphasize this wage reduction because, like liberal journalists and politicians, they face pressures to support immigration.

Many of the immigration scholars regularly cited in the press have worked for, or received funding from, pro-immigration businesses and associations.

...Academics face cultural pressures too. In his book Exodus, Paul Collier, an economist at the University of Oxford, claims that in their “desperate [desire] not to give succor” to nativist bigots, “social scientists have strained every muscle to show that migration is good for everyone.” George Borjas of Harvard argues that since he began studying immigration in the 1980s, his fellow economists have grown far less tolerant of research that emphasizes its costs.

... The problem is that, although economists differ about the extent of the damage, immigration hurts the Americans with whom immigrants compete. And since more than a quarter of America’s recent immigrants lack even a high-school diploma or its equivalent, immigration particularly hurts the least-educated native workers, the very people who are already struggling the most. America’s immigration system, in other words, pits two of the groups liberals care about most—the native-born poor and the immigrant poor—against each other.

I think the real truth of the matter is that they care more about votes which allows them to obtain power and be the ruling class. I don’t think they give two chits about illegals or American citizens, we’re nothing but pawns to these people. They’ve proven this over and over. It’s all about power, greed and pushing an ideology that sustains their position of power, along with everyone that’s in bed with them.

Send them more, sounds like they enjoy getting the immigrants there. They are complaining about a couple thousand of them, look how many are coming up to the southern border, and those are illegals, they do not have to go through any vetting to see if they are good people. Send them to Maine.

Is Maine just perturbed because most of the immigrants coming there are from Africa?

It seems quite rational to me that there be divided responsibility for ensuring that human rights are not violated.

I doubt that Mexico is doing it entirely for nothing but I haven't heard of any specifics. Trump was even out of the country when the negotiations must have been occurring.

I suspect that there is far more going on than is carried by the news services.

Nonsense.

We don't call them illegals if they haven't disobeyed the law.
‘Sneaking’ into New Zealand without following the proper immigration procedures IS disobeying the law.

So you DO call the SAME people ‘illegals’

Fact

It appears that you don't have the conceptual framework from which to arrive at a different conclusion.

If you define these people as illegals, then they must have been doing something illegal, because they are illegals, right? How could they be innocent if you call them illegals?

It's like something out of Idiocracy.

You’re joking right?

In New Zealand, it is ILLEGAL to ‘sneak into’ the country

It is ILLEGAL to depart your fishing vessel and hide in a container and enter the country and live there for the rest of your life without informing authorities

Idiocracy indeed
