In the 1990s, Joe Biden said William Barr was "one of the best" attorneys general

During his CBS interview, Barr went out of his way to say that a lot of his past admirers will be mad at him, as his investigation of the deep-state broadens its scope.

I wouldn't be surprised if those pulling the strings had a Dem win the next election just to stir the pot even more. I don't see Trump "winning" another election, he's already served his purpose this go-round in my opinion. We are thoroughly divided, now they just need a controversial "win" for the Dems in order to fan the partisan flames that much more. The seed has been planted, the next election will see the ugly flower in full bloom.

ETA: We agree on a lot more than you think.

None, and I mean NONE of the current Dem hopefuls stand a chance at winning. I think that all of this hullabaloo and chaos is on purpose. It does not make any sense at all. Half of the declared candidates are polling at 0% - 1%.

They know they can't win. It's all about getting name recognition for their "real" attempt in 2024 and to also cause as much turmoil and chaos as possible so that a certain person can swoop in at the last minute to save the day.

Yes, I do think HRC will declare shortly before the deadline (I may be wrong but I think it's November). She still believes that she "deserves" the position and many Dems would gladly back her over any of the other idiots. At this point, moderate Dems are trying to decide if they will vote MAGA 2020 or just not show up at all to vote. Hillary can come to rescue and give those moderates someone they are on with backing. Hell, they already backed her twice before.

Here are some points to why I think ask of this is just a DNC setup for HRC
1. She's in terrible health so waiting until last minute will make sure she only has to be on the campaign trail for the least amount of time
2. She is waiting to see where these investigations are going to go. If she declares, she can pull the "he's weaponizing the DOJ on his political opponent" card if indictments start dropping and seem to be leading to her own.
3. A large majority of the Left is feeling left out with these 2 dozen identitarians playing the "Which group of labeled people can we save today?" game. Most folks (right or left) tend to fall close to middle of the road. They don't feel like they have a voice, though, due to everyone screaming and yelling about how important they are but also marginalized at the same time. (Why did Trump win 2016 when polls showed him with less than 1% chance of winning? Regular, middle of the road folks that wanted to have their voice heard)
4. All of the current candidates are truly insane. So, HRC comes in and gives the regular folks a familiar face and positions they have backed before. The media goes wild and there are ticker tape parades everywhere she goes because the Messiah has returned to save the country from the craziness.
5. Again, the investigations. If she declares and wins, she never gets put in cuffs and if she loses, she just screams "Witch Hunt" and "Spying on the opponent" gig and it leaves the president in a fairly awkward position and might save her.
6. Biden just promised that if he were to be elected, he'd "Cure Cancer"

“I’ve worked so hard in my career that, I promise you, if I’m elected president, you’re going to see the single most important thing that changes America: We’re going to cure cancer"

Until the deadline officially passes and there is zero chance of her getting in the race, I have to believe thar she will be the Dem candidate.

I always liked that stupid phrase.. Make America great again. When was it great last? Who knows!? But it fits on hats well!

Joe Biden is an embarrassment, I hope people aren't stupid enough to vote for him. But then again we don't have the best track record lately when it comes to elections so my hopes aren't too high.

People usually stick to their own bias websites and parties. Party candidates often say the same thing and it always turns into a popularity contest.

Let's face it.. Trump got into offfice because he built up a powerful businessman image, had tons of personality and stood out from every other candidate.

Biden just doesn't stand out. Bernie has a better shot in my opinion. However, like others have said, Biden seems easier to control and minipulate. Something corporations and party members could all swing to their benefit.

'Hope And Change' was a catchy campaign phrase too...even after Obama stole it from Hugo Chavez.

Well I know both Obama and Trump's phrases were better then Bush jr.'s unofficial phrase ; "Mission Accomplished"

when was america a utopia? Never, but it was pretty Great during the 70's, I could walk home from school, I could bring a gun to school. I could watch TV, and read books, and learn and share.

those of you that say "America was never great, becuse x,y, and z, were not happy" missed the point.

I ask when was America not great? I never asked when was America a Utopia, the left is putting words not said in other peoples mouths.

I ask the Socialist left a question, "is the good of the many better than the good of the few, or the one"?

the Balance is what makes America Great, Moderation in all things

But then again,

"moderation is for monks"

"I could walk home from school, I could bring a gun to school. I could watch TV, and read books, and learn and share."

You can still do that now, except the gun part

MAGA doesn't reference a utopia. It seemed like it was nostalgia for a time that never was. Or, if you remember having a great time in the 60s,70s, or 80s.. Nostalgia blinders

I agree that moderation is best and to your question i would say it depends. The good of the many should only triumph over the good of the few if the few's rights are not being infringed upon.

That's one of the thing that makes America great. However, America has always had problems, corruption, and injustices. I would say America is probably the greatest today due to the amount of civil rights we have.

It's just a silly motto though that attempts at grabbing one's nostalgia or false sense of some distant utopian past.

I remember as a kid growing up in the late 70's and early 80's..thinking come on now..if I get a job making $35k a year i'd be set for life..a new car a new house and no worries. Now I'm making $80k a year and housing is not affordable and cars are crazy expensive. How about the cost of eating healthy foods? The cost of living everywhere is through the roof and wages never even came close to keeping pace.

Is this "nostalgia blinders"? I don't think so, it is reality. Was life better back then for everyone, definitely not. Was it better for the majority of people, I would say yes.

Nor can you walk home from school anymore, that is child abuse now. Can't let children of 5-15 walk home without supervision.

Guns still go to school, just not for "show and tell".

I'm not pining for "days gone by" I HATED my school days except for the libirary. I read 3/4th of my middle school Libirary and 110% of my highschool libirary ( apox 140,000 books ) I didn't go to class much in High school except to take the tests, I'd read the textbooks for each class in the first 2 weeks cover to cover.

Make America great again

I am guessing it represents the 1950's. A few decades ago that used to be what people meant when they talked about America's golden age.

Creepy Porn Lawyer stole 'Make America America Again' from actor Scott Baio...BEFORE Sleepy-Creepy Joe stole it from him.
Baio first used it during a speech at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
Avenatti and Biden are two thieving pea-brains in a pod.

They both took it from me.

Yes the venue held 2,500. And only 250 showed up.
That is the Official statement anyway.
That is still 100 more people than Hitlary could manage at the end of her campaign in Miami.

That's how bright your Dem star is.

So it's 1% Biden against 1.00004% Pocahontas

Joe Biden is getting more paranoid by the week. He's now saying that Bernie Sanders is "doctoring tapes" to portray him (Biden) in a negative way.
