I doubt their factoring in abortion.

After all poor people aren't suppose to reproduce since it's so incovenient.

Then factor in people aren't suppose to reproduce to save the planet or some snip.

What I want to know is why can't I just get on a boat and go someplace where they have awesome (liberal) government benefits for their citizens and decide I'm gonna stay there and not have any problems with them telling me I don't belong there?

I might be able to do that if I had money but I'm broke so they don't seem to be interested in supporting me.

So how is that decison by your family to leave Italy looking now?

Zero regrets. Italy is too socialistic for them.

the Immigration issue is not about sheltering & assimilating downtrodden peoples...

Immigration is all about extending the lifeblood and Power of the Empire, the North Atlantic Treaty Org & 'Globalists' which cast a much larger shadow than just the English speaking Westerners who hold Deep-State positions in the Global Governance Order...

the tariff wars with China and the sanctions against Russia are just a cut above Kabuki Theater... and just the acts to project power and status...

both China & Russia & EU will need a sustainable, overpopulated USA, as goods, food, resources need to be exchanged continually between the 4 organized Blocs of Nations, even as China woos the resource rich African Continent and the Western Hemisphere knuckles under to the USA as borders are erased and a 1984 Paradigm settles over a unitized, North/Central-&-South America (dystopia)

people act like America always had one unchanged white culture while ignoring the fact that our country has always been changing, adopting new things, mutating and throwing away things no longer wanted since the beginning all while keeping certain central facets intact.

America is just changing again like it always does and all this doom talk about our collapse is nothing new, it's been repeated every decade since before the civil war even happened, what we see in America is nothing like what we've endured in the past, immigration will restore the strength we once had in the past that newer spoiled generations have forgotten. that ethic of hard work, family, faith and desire to achieve great things.

as for russia, a lot of their economic power is false and quietly self destructing the country all for the sake of keeping the illusion of military parity with China and the U.S, i don't expect too much from them a few decades from now.

while china will indeed be a rival with parity in many things it's not like we never had peers at the top in the past and that we don't know how to handle it, the British empire once rivaled us as did the Soviet Union so it's nothing unknown or anything to us.

America is fine despite some issues we have, i don't get why so many of our own people are joining the America is going down circle jerk party that our enemies have already joined, bunch of traitors.

I think there is something to your point, but again, I don't think it will offset population. That problem has been trending since before Trump, and I fail to see how people choosing to eat fast food is the fault of a president unless they are that impressionable by his eating habits. One can still eat healthy hear for the same cost of fast food which is about 8~ dollars a meal. You can get fresh produce and a pound of lean meat that can make enough for a few.

Trump-era policies, as explained in the article, will make the poor poorer which has been proven to reduce life expectancy. The fast food choice was from another article I was reading pertaining to Guatemalan people's choices once living in the U.S.A. As in Rome, do as Romans do, I guess.

Then you should be comfortable knowing that none of the negative predictions about Trump have been accurate and have instead had the opposite effect.

I guess we could just ignore the issue.

In a couple generations we will be just like the craphole countries those folks left in the first place.

Who cares if we're a third world country and a trash dump? As long as democrats are in power like they want.

That lame, worn out excuse doesn't fly. Let me remind you what Bill Clinton said in 1996 when breaking the law was still something the democrats took semi-seriously. This was after he said he would increase Border Control by 50%.

"Let me be very clear about this: We are still a nation of immigrants; we should be proud of it. We should honor every legal immigrant here, working hard to become a new citizen. But we are also a nation of laws."

Clinton ran as the most conservative Democrat..

There is a long history of democrats making extremely stupid decisions in an attempt not to seem weak as their gop opponent was casting them..

The vast majority, of not all of those decisions were conservative policies in the first place..

Well yeah, that was the last presidency where both parties could compromise on many things since the politicians were more concerned about Americans than they were the votes. He's only seen as a Conservative democrat by today's standards because the old left has moved so far left.

Yea, you are right, the US has always been subject to change.

There is something different about it this time though and I cant quite put my finger on it. You will have your open borders, but I am not sure you will like the final result. It may make the US stronger economically but just as Walmart killed the mom and pop stores and Amazon killed the Malls, my guess is that open borders is killing something we cant quite yet identify. My guess is that its kind like the core of the culture is being hollowed out and it may be the case that it is slowly eroding loyalty and trust in both the system and the government.

The “abortion till the last month, wants to ban and confiscate all the guns, totally open borders, exc” doesn’t even exist...

The actual democrats/liberals want a path to citizenship, abortion in the first trimester, a ban on NEW ASSAULT rifles with a grandfather clause keeping those already in circulation legal.. ...

The republicans lose on those positions so they sidestep and pivot to some BS no one wants.

Quick video of a 100,000 immigrant caravan, closing in on the US-Mex border right now.

twitter.com...

They should go to California. All illegals will get full health insurance for free, starting on Jan 1, 2020.

You think people in Mesoamerica consume as much resources and generate as much greenhouse gases per capita as their countrymen in America? That is not what Progressives for Immigration Reform concluded. No people in the world consume or emit as much as Americans, and those who emigrate here are dazzled by our lifestyle and want to share it.

People in Mexico and Central America are coming here because they’re dirt poor. They couldn’t consume, waste and emit as much as their friends and relatives here if they wanted to. Many illegals buy a used car when they’ve been here long enough to save a little money. It’s not hard to do. Usually they buy cheap used cars, which tend to pollute more than newer cars. That’s just one way they consume and emit more. They use more electricity, eat more beef, generate more solid waste, use more fresh water — just like the society they’re living in.

Trump's tax reforms will expire in 2025 - then there's bracket creep. It will be creepy.

I still hope to learn what progressives think the ideal population should be. Surely one of you has an opinion. This is really going to affect those of you 40 and under.

Pew Research says we’ll have 440 million by 2065. Is that the perfect population size, not enough or too much? Does anyone want a billion Americans? Or is “We’re a nation of immigrants” so firmly fixed in your minds that you’d never consider a ban on or drastic reduction of immigration?

Don’t fool yourselves; they’ll keep coming in their millions as long as we let them. This issue needs to be debated and resolved soon or we’ll be leaving a mess for you Millennials and Generation Z. You’re the ones who’ll be supporting them and their children, paying for their entitlements, stuck behind them in traffic and the checkout line, breathing increasingly polluted air.

I spelled out some of the consequences of uncontrolled population growth in the OP. It’s not good for the environment, especially climate change. Explain to me why you’re not worried.

Silence from the left. More immigrants = more greenhouse gases. Which is more important to you? How many people do you want here? Anyone.
