This is something I've always wondered. If these states of being are normal and natural, why do they come with the innate desire to procreate? They still have it. If such things were normal and natural, you'd think they wouldn't be interested in procreation as naturally existing in a state that would not naturally lead to such in its course.

What is your point? You're assuming our urges have to align with our mentality. "Normal and Natural". Normal and natural how? Maybe it is natural for large populations to have homosexuals in order to curb a dominate species? Or maybe not, who knows... You're simplifying the mind and biology too much.

And at that end of the day, what does it matter? Some of us will be homosexuals... It just is a fact of life. Better to embrace it, than lead some pointless self-righteous charge against it. As if ending homosexuality would rid the world of evil.

It's true. A certain percentage of the population will always tend to be homosexual or monosexual, or fall anywhere along the spectrum, possibly because it frees up more resources for mating pairs. And culture will keep hammering away, promoting the whole "get married and have babies thing," which has less to do with with biology and a lot more to do with peer (and grandmother) pressure.

Many animals do mate on how hot they perceive potential partners. Selecting the strongest male, strengthens the gene pool etc. Companies will of cause try to profit from human behaviours and that can eventually result in cultural change.

Sexual Selection was first proposed by Darwin.

Hmm.. So maybe homosexuality was a result of overpopulation? Or just a genetic defect?

In either case, we should embrace it. Instead of this nonsensical alt-right belief that we should continue to populate until the world is destroyed...

There has been studies that suggest certain genes can influence our sexual orientation. But I personally suspect its not as simple as that. If two people meet that fulfil each other non sexual needs. They may mistakenly see that attachment as love. And take it to the next step.
