Look I apologize for being an a hole a lot of the time, to you this instance and on ATS in general the last few years. I don’t want to be triggered on these topics. I really try to ignore the politics on here and look for the ghost, ufo and ancient archaeology subjects but every other week something catches my eye that triggers me to an extent where I can’t keep quite even if I’m right or wrong and It doesn’t matter to me I just want to act on my opinion at that moment. This is wrong.

But really, the balance of rhetoric was so skewed leaving the Obama era and entering the trump era that in the change of the guard the eternal “REEEE” was so great no one could ignore the cry. So the sleeping giant was awakened and the increase in support shown for the right side of the spectrum was inevitable to say the least. If the left stopped splashing the puddle they would find the waters quite placid.

It was already posted on this thread.

Thousands protesting Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election took to the streets for a third night of demonstrations and vigils in several US cities.

An anti-Trump rally in Portland, Oregon, revved up as protesters confronted police Thursday night. What started out as a peaceful march, with more than 4,000 people, quickly turned violent.

Over the course of the evening, "anarchists" in the crowd threw objects at officers, vandalized local businesses and damaged cars, Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson said.

Police publicly declared a "riot" due to "extensive criminal and dangerous behavior" and called the protest "unlawful," according to posts on the department's Twitter page

The radical left is every bit as capable of violence as the radical right. It's not the liberal or conservative ideology that spurs violence, but radicalism. And both sides are equally capable of radicalism.

It's not like all liberals are "the good guys" and all conservatives are "the evil guys" (or vice-versa). That's a childish and simplistic way of looking at it, and it could be a downright dangerous attitude. Both sides could be good guys, but both sides could also be pretty damn evil in my book when they become radicalized.

The country and the world needs more centrists, people who are willing to put themselves into the shoes of others in order to be able to understand and empathize with the others' position.

In the U.S., good ideas on effective governing came come from both Republican or Democrats. This all-too pervasive attitude of "us versus them, Good guys versus evil guys" is the problem with the country, not any one side's general ideology.

I'm from the UK, i hope to god you're wrong.

I wouldn't say i'm Trumps biggest fan however the alternative is truly frightening.

The Left has lost the plot completely, thankfully i think most Americans are still quite conservative and this new age postmodernism is so outrageous they can't fail to reject it.

I'm quite fond of human nature, reason and social progress.

I also am not interested in the destruction of traditional moral principles.

I'm a bit late to the party and only in to page 4 of this hilarious thread - obviously posted just to annoy and provoke.

But in reply to your constant referral to the Nazi saluting dog;
I could dress my dog up in the best Hugo Boss designed SS uniform, paint a Hitler tash on him and teach him to goose step over Westminster Bridge whilst farting Deutschland Uber Alles and guess what, I wouldn't get prosecuted.

I would however be charged if I videoed it, posted it on social media along with links to extremist far-right organisations - not UKIP but real neo-Nazi hate driven groups.

I suspect CPS and other involved in the prosecution regret it now as it only generated more publicity for the moron.
And being offensive isn't illegal.

Please do this, although getting him to fart in tune will require some kind of technology or dietary regime i'm not currently familiar with.
