I guess by low tide you mean the beach. Never detected in a beach but maybe one day. I heard the best is after storms.

It's just few steps from the trail. I always try to make stops and look around before continue. Wildlife around might not be friendly.

To answer the second question, I thought if someone or something was inside, it would be the best video I ever made. 😀

I couldn't go yesterday. Today I made a small trip to a new spot in another forest. Too much foliage to detect but good for exploring. I'll come back.
