I mean, we had the technology and know-how to pull some or all of K-129, a Golf II-class submarine over a football field long and weighing over 2000 tons, from the bottom in 16,000 feet of water back in 1974. Recovering a comparatively tiny C-2 from a similar depth might as well be child's play by comparison.

Yeah, but if the Parche and the Jimmy Carter's Jolly Rogers and unit citations are anything to go by, we've probably recovered our fair share of C-2 Greyhound-sized objects from the seafloor with nary a Glomar Explorer or football field-sized Lockheed claw in sight.
