I just got a new box at home, and set it up as a PVR. I want to run BOINC on it, so I can fully use the processor time that's usually just being
wasted.
So I installed BOINC, and it ran perfectly (<4 hours to finish a WU). I can set it up as a service, so that it runs whenever the machine boots.
However, I don't know how to have the service set its "niceness" (priority) level, so that BOINC isn't fighting with the PVR software. I can set
it manually using top, but I don't want to have to go in and do that every time; I'd rather it be set automatically.
Any ideas on how I can do this?
