Also, what's this amazingly disgusting BS equating homosexuality to pedophilia? That is amazingly ignorant and disgusting. You realize many pedophiles are straight, right? And implying that homosexuals are pedophiles is one of the most ignorant, uneducated, backwards views a person can possibly have?
What a thoroughly ignorant and disgusting person you are...

That's one of the most bigoted statements I've ever seen on here.

Red hair also isn't "normal." Should we discourage our children from treating them with the same respect as we would "normal" people. Should we start calling the Irish out for holding St. Patrick's Day parades?

The sheer ignorance I see displayed on this site is absolutely appalling.

Being Irish isn't a choice.

You apparently missed a lot. You missed that the entire justification wasn't around interstate commerce, but rather "equal treatment" protections of the 14th amendment. Never mind states that had constitutional amendments defining marriage as between a man and woman. Basically they used equal treatment to redefine the word and institution, despite having no legal authority to do so.

Sure you have. This is one of the dumbest lines of "reasoning" I've ever seen and I see it promoted in this area all of the time. It's really just an attempt at a stealth insult.

Lol, nothing stealthy about it, it's been proven over and over again. Lame ass TV televangelist? Closet homo. Hardcore anti-gay politician? Likes boys.

You want some examples?

2 out of 327,000,000. Yeah I can see the trend there.

You're (thankfully) not the authority on what is "normal" whatever that is supposed to mean. I don't want to endlessly repeat myself so I just have one final question:
Who the # do you think you are trying to tell two adults in love they're not allowed to feel how they do?

Because they are doing it all wrong....
And it's very straight forward which is why it leaves people in shock

Wait, you mean people who expressed vocally and often that they were against something, had a larger response when exposed to it? Say it isn't so! It's almost like their vocalization was a manifestation of an underlying innate response. Who could have guessed? Now if you can find a study that shows that they were more happy and excited about being exposed to it, then you may have a point.

Your taking a few high profile cases and assigning it to the masses.

Well, as they say, where there's gay smoke there's gay fire. I guess it's just consigned to the 'high profile' homophobes and not your typical garden variety homophobes. Maybe they are immune and aren't secretly into the same stuff as their higher profile counterparts. And maybe I'm secretly a space reptilian from Zeta Reticuli.

How many virulently homophobic people are there in the US...

More than enough, wouldn't you agree?

To be a homophobe you would first have to have a dislike or deep prejudice to gays. Just because you don't support their lifestyle doesn't mean you hate them or are prejudiced against them. It simply means you don't support them. This misguided name calling started when anyone not in support of Obama was called a racist. It's just words to help drive the divide. I'm surprised that you would be like that, I thought you were middle of the road and normal.

That statement honestly makes me feel incredible sorry for everybody you ever had sex with.
Do you really not know what else to do to give your partner pleasure besides £ick in ÷ussy or do you just not care enough?

I have said that over and over, sex is most importantly a way to bond, a shared rush that deepens the appreciation you share for eachother. All your comments just show you are clueless and possibly emotionally handicapped.
Which would be no surprise since you are obviously one of the homophobes who struggle with their urges. To you sex is like using the toilet, right?

Neither is being gay. It's also probably less traumatic covering up your Irishness than it is being homosexual.

BTW, the prevalence of homosexuality has remained constant for a while, if not been on the rise. Meanwhile experts say that red hair will be all but non-existent in the near future. Clearly one of these is more evolutionarily fit than the other.

Is homophobia associated with homosexual arousal?

The authors investigated the role of homosexual arousal in exclusively heterosexual men who admitted negative affect toward homosexual individuals. Participants consisted of a group of homophobic men (n = 35 ) and a group of nonhomophobic men (n = 29); they were assigned to groups on the basis of their scores on the Index of Homophobia (W. W. Hudson & W. A. Ricketts, 1980). The men were exposed to sexually explicit erotic stimuli consisting of heterosexual, male homosexual, and lesbian videotapes, and changes in penile circumference were monitored. They also completed an Aggression Questionnaire (A. H. Buss & M. Perry, 1992). Both groups exhibited increases in penile circumference to the heterosexual and female homosexual videos. Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile erection to male homosexual stimuli. The groups did not differ in aggression. Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies.

Lol. So a study was based on whether or not a man, who these authors decided were "homophobes," was aroused at some point during gay porn and that's how the left wing executive decision was made to determine anyone who doesn't support the gay lifestyle, is an actual closet homo?

Read the study I posted. When I used the phrase "physiological response" I didn't mean higher heart rate or blood pressure.

And it's this kind of mentality that makes homosexuals feel like they need to go out and flaunt their existence.

You're literally comparing being homosexual to committing a mass murder.

Do you not see how messed up that is?

No, but I see how messed up your mind is to think I'm comparing a homo to a mass murderer. Stop thinking on such a simple level. I'm referring to dragging as many down with you as you can because you don't want to do something alone. You can at least try, come on man.

Who said it was entirely around that? You? Certainly not me.

Never mind states that had constitutional amendments defining marriage as between a man and woman.

Based on religious grounds which violates the First Amendment. So again, suck it up marys.

No they based it off the Homophobia Index established by Hudson and Ricketts in 1980. A scale still in use today due to its reliability. If you want to see how they established that scale, here you go.

He knows. He didn't have an answer when you called him out on not infringing on the freedoms of one of the seven deadly sins. Pride.

I'm going to ask you a question I posed earlier to another poster, because you seem to be directly talking about it.

Homosexuality does not procreate. It cannot. Furthermore, it is obviously a recessive and rare genetic trait. So the only way for this trait to be passed on is for a man and woman who carry it to have intercourse and luckily both pass it on to the next. Right?

If you agree, I have two more questions. First, isn't pigeonholing homosexuals into their homosexual lifestyle the fastest track to removing that trait from the gene pool?

Second, doesn't their growing numbers refute the idea that it is genetic? To me it would seem to indicate there are far more "environmental homosexuals" than there are genetic.

You literally said that a homosexual that is out and proud is no different than a depressed person that shoots up their place of work.

Where did I misconstrue your statement?

It's been found that one of the genes that contribute to homosexuality in males leads to higher fertility in females.

ETA: Considering the field of Behavior Genetics is fairly new, I won't be surprised if similar discoveries are made over the coming years.
