Yesterday was International Tabletop Day.. I spent nine hours at a friendly local game store playing board games all day. It was awesome. All of the games were part of a bigger overall game.

They handed out pirate maps. On the front was a dashed line with diamonds shapes along the line. On the back were lines for numbers and boxes for letters. In the upper right-hand corner was a code-wheel type thing (printed on the paper and didn't spin) with symbols and a corresponding letter from the alphabet. What you were supposed to do is play a game, decipher the code to spell out the name of the game, and write down the assigned number in the diamond shape on the front of the map.

You turned the map in at the end of the night and were given a strip of tickets that you can put in a cup for a chance to win a board game.

I played:

Hotshots

It was fun. I'd play it again.

Makkarech

This was surprisingly fun. I really enjoyed it.

Wacky Races

This was confusing and frustrating.

Just One

Another fun game. It's fast-paced and challenging.

Grimm Forest

This was frustrating, too. I'd pass on playing it in the future.

Saboteur The Lost Mines

I didn't care for this one either. It was frustrating and I kept dropping the tiny cards because my hands can't handle small objects.

Codenames

This one was really fun. I'd play it again.

That's a Question!

Yet another fun game that is worth a replay.

I played Risk yesterday, should I continue to drive with my knees and text while I pass the State Trooper on the Parkway or should I also try to give him the finger at the same time.

They might have had it on the kids' list. I don't know. I didn't see anyone playing it.

It depends on if you had a body in the trunk.
