The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, from The Cab-Gre. Chicago Master Bootleg session.... fortune tellers.

From the session, "Television The Drug Of A Nation" lyrics:

One nation under God has turned into one nation under the influence of one drug.

Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.
Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.

TV, it satellite links our United States of Unconsciousness...
Apathetic therapeutic and extremely addictive...
The methadone metronome pumping out 150 channels 24 hours a day...
You can flip through all of them and still there's nothing worth watching...
TV is the reason why less than 10 per cent of our Nation reads books daily.
Why most people think Central America means Kansas and Socialism means unamerican and Apartheid is a new headache remedy...
Absorbed in it's world it's so hard to find us...
It shapes our mind the most...
Maybe the mother of our Nation should remind us that we're sitting too close to...

Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.
Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.

TV is the stomping ground for political candidates...
Where bears in the woods are chased by Grecian Formula'd bald eagles...
T.V. is mechanized politic's remote control over the masses...
Co-sponsored by environmentally safe gases...
Watch for the PBS special...
It's the perpetuation of the two party system where image takes precedence over wisdom...
Where sound bite politics are served to the fastfood culture...
Where straight teeth in your mouth are more important than the words that come out of it...
Race baiting is the way to get selected Willie Horton or Will he not get elected on...

Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.
Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.

TV, is it the reflector or the director?
Does it imitate us or do we imitate it because a child watches 1500 murders before he's twelve years old and we wonder why we've created a Jason generation that learns to laugh rather than to abhor the horror...
T.V. is the place where armchair generals and quarterbacks can experience first hand the excitement of warfare as the theme song is sung in the background...
Sugar sweet sitcoms that leave us with a bad actor taste while pop stars metamorphosize into soda pop stars...
You saw the video...
You heard the soundtrack...
Well now go buy the soft drink
Well, the only cola that I support would be a union C.O.L.A.(Cost Of Living Allowance)... On television...

Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.
Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.

Back again, "New and improved"...
We return to our irregularly programmed schedule hidden cleverly between heavy breasted beer and car commercials...
CNNESPNABCTNT but mostly B.S...
Where oxymoronic language like "virtually spotless", "fresh frozen" "light yet filling" and "military intelligence" have become standard...
TV. is the place where phrases are redefined like "recession" to "necessary downturn", "Crude oil" on a beach to "mousse", "Civilian death" to "collateral damages", and being killed by your own Army is now called "friendly fire"...
T.V. is the place where the pursuit of happiness has become the pursuit of trivia...
Where toothpaste and cars have become sex objects...
Where imagination is sucked out of children by a cathode ray nipple...
T.V. is the only wet nurse that would create a cripple...

Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.
Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.
Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.
Television, the drug of the Nation Breeding ignorance and feeding radiation.

Sublime - Cisco Kid

Thats chapter 1,
Would you like to have chapter 2
You better you son of a bitch, I know the way.

Heres adventure, heres romance,
Heres the famous robbin hood of the old west.

Cisco, the sheriff, hes getting closer!

This way poncho, vominos. the cisco kid.

Way, way, way, we way back in the days the year, 1980.
Had to get a job, had to make some money-ney
Picked up a pen and a pad,
Dropped reality never thinking that I would live to see the day Id rock my own cd

We used to do the dance we called obie-obie
Now s.t.p. 1993, so hollywood get out my way
My moms words seems like yesterday
Love jesus, dont forget to pray
She most have gone with the boss d.j. right?
(dont be too sure of that fat one. fat one? )
And feelin though, skinny coming with the 9mm

cuz he who has the money has the authority,
And respect to the man with the uzi
(Im pritty handy with a six gun myself)
The 808 kick is on my hitlist
And this beats cooking like an ital dish
It wasnt hard for me to do, it so easy
Because to me loops loops tight go naturally
Moms words seem like yesterday.

Whats your name? cisco kid.
Si, ponchos name is, poncho.

Now in 94 we got an s.t.p.
A half pack of smokes, and oh yes, and sammy
A fifteen pack of old millwalkee
A dalmation and a girlfriend,
But I aint got no money-ne-ne-ne

The 808 is within my reach,
Sublime beats are comin straight from long beach.
If you think that hollywood
Didnt get what he deserved,
Call 808 kit to get served

How am I gonna get a scar like that eating pussy, man?

Theres always some hombre that cant resist swapin lead,
Just to see if their faster with the six gun than cisco is.

Theyll only find out cisco is fastet.

Well that dont stop em from tryin poncho,
Like slade here,
He fancys himself as fast on the draw as a quarter-horse
Takin after a stray.

Whats the matter? cant the cisco kid talk for himself?
Is that how you got your reputation cisco,
By havin your partner build you up?

I make no claim to a reputation senor,
And no one has to talk for me.

The cisco kid, heh,.
The kid part fits you from the way you act.

Ive meet with your kind before.
You a foolish hombre if you think he will not fight you.

Your making big talk for an hombre who will not fight.

You are wrong slade,
Ill fight you any place, any time.
If there is a good reason.

Well heres a fist full of reasons!

Now you two quit that.

Just as soon as I finish off this cisco kid.

You are the one that is finished you faggot.

Is that a good punch?

Alright you two, thats enough,
Let him alone cisco.

I wont forget this cisco,
Ill take this up with you another time.

Any time hombre,
Id be glad to accomidate you.

Ill make it soon cisco.

# up cash, keep your mouth shut.

Thats what I mean, cisco,
You attract trouble like a fiddler attracts a square dance,
You understand why I dont want
You staying in this town?

Do not worry sheriff

I'm a disciple of science
I know the universe is compliance with natural laws,
but many place reliance on the psuedo-science of quacks and
morons and fools because,
their educations deficient,
they put faith in omniscient,
make believe beings who control their fate,
but the Hawk aint with it, dig it,
their Holy writ aint the least bit legit,
its a bunch of bull#.

They need to read a book that ain't so damn old old,
let reason take hold,
though truth to be told,
they're probably already too far gone,
withdrawn, the conclusion foregone.
But maybe there is still hope for the young,
if they reject the dung being slung from the tongues,
of the ignorant fools who call themselves preachers,
and listen instead to their science teachers.

Upon blind faith they place reliance,
what we need more of is science!

[Trash Talk]
Uh yeah, that's right!
Fundamentalist assholes!
Screw the hole lot of them.

Look, I ain't thomas Dolby,
science doesn't blind me,
think you're smart? Form a line behind me,
you won't find me, truth to tell,
to be a man who suffers fools very well.
Quite the opposite in fact,
I aint got time to interact,
with crystal wearing freaks in need of a smack.
New age mother#ers? Don't get me started,
I made more sense than them, last time I farted.

Not to put too fine a point upon it,
but the whole new age movement is full of #.
Please allow me to elaborate,
explicate, expatiate.
from astral projection to zygomancy its a,
mish mash of idiocy.
Instead of the archaic worship of seasons,
they should explore logic and reason.

Upon blind faith they place reliance,
what we need more of is science!

[Trash Talk]
#ing new-agers!
Is there any amount of bull# they won't swallow?
It's two-thousand-aught-three goddammit!
When are these morons gonna join us in the 21st century?

Currently spinning like there's no tomorrow:

Right Now Here by
Charlie Hunter

He's an amazing musician who plays 8-string guitar which allows him to play guitar and bass at the same time. You won't believe it until you see it, so check out his website (which has some video) or search Google video or YouTube. This album is so cool and funky... he always plays with great drummers and sidemen.

The Parker Tapes by Cassette Boy.

Sadly, no website is available to convey the majesty and drama of the Cassette Boy oeuvre. This album took six years to make and is a work of genius. It's all cut-ups... and all hilarious. Listen to Jamie Oliver talking about how sexy it is to bruise his face, and how he hasn't got many friends. Be amazed at the Frank Sinatra 9/11 Mash Up. Hear Tony Blair saying that

"'s the drugs... and the guns... and the money... that makes government worthwhile."

Over ninety tracks and each one a gem.

Take One by Vogue Gyrator

OK. So it's my band. I still listen to this, even though it sucks compared to some of the stuff we've done. Everything we do is improvised. We just play, everyone listens really hard to each other and reacts... no-one who comes to see us live can believe we're just making this stuff up. Our DJ - who continually samples us and scratches with the samples - was missing, so the recording is not exactly representative... but it's still a journey I like to go on. Half an hour, many different sections, many moods. Very organic. No edits, no overdubs. No keyboards.

Totonho y os Cabra -

Totonho y os Cabra

Still one of my favourite albums - a stunning mix of metal, electronica, hip-hop, bossa, samba, and funk, with some great rapping and singing (in Portuguese - they're Brasilian). You can listen to a very poor quality version on the link.

Redneck Jazz Explosion by Danny Gatton.

A stunning live album by one of the greatest guitarists ever to walk the earth. I'm not kidding. Sadly, deeply missed.

[Verse One: 2Pac]
Some say I'm crazy, these punk-ass cops can't fade me
Mama tried to raise me, but had too many babies
Papa was a mother#in, joke
Used to find dope in his coat
And nearly choked when he'd tell me not to smoke
Daaamn, don't get me started
My mama smoked so God damn much
when she was pregnant I'm surprised I ain't retarded
At night I can't sleep, count sheep
As they pass through the glass of my neighbors five deep
Starin at the wall, heard a scream
Wake up in the mornin
See the blood in the hall from the murder scene
Don't cry, just ask why, and try not to die
As I take you through a ghetto nigga's lullabye
On the corner, where the niggaz slang they crack
And the undercovers jack those that don't watch they back
(Five-OH!) I daydream about the dope world
Take a puff from the blunt and watch the smoke swirl
My mausberg goes BOOM, what's another plug
Snatchin drugs, pumpin slugs in these other thugs
(GIVE IT UP NIGGA) Don't run out of breath
Every step could be death 'til you blast
And be the last nigga left, then I'll be ghost

[Chorus: 2Pac]
Don't cry, just ask why, and try not to die
As I take you through a ghetto nigga's lullabye
Don't cry, just ask why, and try not to die
As I take you through a ghetto nigga's lullabye

[Verse Two: 2Pac]
A seven-deuce full of niggaz goes by
Thought I was trippin the second time they rolled, by
Recognized the plates, the faces looked familiar
Everybody swear they know the nigga that's gonna, kill ya
Don't murder me murder me, killa a nigga in his sleep
Let me die as I rest in peace, deep
Back to these niggaz in the seven-deuce
A mac-10 out the window bout to let it loose, what could I do?
Run for cover and return fire
DIE MOTHER#IN DIE, hope yo' ass fry, don't ask why
But I let off everything I have
An empty clip, hit the ground as a nigga dash
On my ass was the mother#in cops now
Barely breathin tryin to keep from gettin shot down
BOO-YAOW is the sound, bullet whizzed by
Still runnin like a nigga got nine lives
Don't know why but I'm runnin to my #in block
Took a shot, tired of runnin from the niggaz and the cops
Time to be a ghost
And then we'll be ghost

[Tupac - speaking]
# THE POLICE NIGGA! [laughing]

oh snap just found my Dimmu Borgir!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dimmu borgir - eradication instinct defined

As mortal manufactured waste
And part of the commonly infected
You prevent the ones worthy the gift of life
To surface on once a prosperous soil
As superficially bewildered whores
And succumbing to fictional truth
You are taught to preserve and profit
The life institutional lie
You worthless piece of #
May we all depart from this world
And dissolve into nothingness
Compassion will not be granted
When life's value
Is point below zero
Human depravity is at our disposal
As the perfect tool to destroy mankind
The worst kind of them all
Modern times' ignorance, the world disease
Appeal to death of every man
A living hate smoldering abyss
Nurtured through centuries with quietly exercised wrath
Seeks the easiest way to the feed the engine
Praising the final bloodbath
Uncertainty and guilt
Will no longer endorse our fate
There will be no remorse, we kill to kill again
Killing all
Go ahead end it all, we deserve no better
As a forever unblessed detonation
The great plutonium chord fulminates
Blinding the eyes of creation
Cutting off all life support
Sweeping away existence instantly
Iced desolate ruins linger
Leaving traces of our lovely humanity
