For fans of hardcore punk and screamo I really advise you to check out this band. It's composed of members from Thursday, Glassjaw and Converge.

One of the best albums I've heard in recent times.

A blessing in disguise: Metal Church. One of the 80's best 'true' metal albums. By true, I mean not 'hair' metal. Which wasn't metal. Plus I'm listening currently to War by U2.
