I'm telling you, folks. I'm talking about groceries are going up. Its no doubt in my mind.

Just do a line-item compare of what you paid at the grocery store last year, with the same items this year. I'm sure you have an old receipt laying around. Like I said, some Dem strongholds are subject to perpetual inflation, however.

Heres some more dope about Mexico, no pun intended

Apparently, Trump is basing these tariffs on Mexico stopping immigration

Yes. One of the links hyperlinked in the OP is titled:

"On June 10th, the United States will impose a 5% Tariff on all goods coming into our Country from Mexico, until such time as illegal migrants coming through Mexico, and into our Country, STOP. The Tariff will gradually increase until the Illegal Immigration problem is remedied,.."

Please keep abreast of the conversation if you want to participate.

What stellar products do kiwis make again? Oh right nevermind

Edit
on second thought send me over some of those fine sheepskin car seat covers you guys make that's about it right?

New Zealand does about $6 billion in trade to the US per year (with $5 billion from the US, a total of approx $11 billion in bilateral trade). The US has about $44 billion invested in New Zealand.

Rakon make most of the advanced oscillators used in US military guidance, computing and GPS devices.

We also make white goods sold in the US and medical devices at Fisher & Paykel.

Weta Workshops make movie props and do digital rendering. You might have seen their work in the Lord of the Rings series of movies, Alita Battle Angel, Blade Runner 2049, Thor: Ragnarok, Mad Max: Fury Road, Elysium, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Avatar, District 9, The Chronicles of Narnia series of movies, Van Helsing, I, Robot, Hellboy, The Last Samuarai & other popular movies and TV series.

Of course, we are big on rural exports to the US, such as beef, dairy products and lamb.

Actually, we really don't trade as much with the US as we do with other countries.

So, although it would be a bad thing if we lost the US as a trading partner (we have never had free trade with the US, by the way), we'd be all right.

True. He's making you pay but saying the word "Mexico" in the same sentence, to placate the foolish.

Mexico still aren't paying for the wall. You guys are. And if Mexico still doesn't act, he will tax you harder.

You see, the Mexicans will still trade their goods at the same rate, they'll just put the price up to cover the extra tariff. They won't loose out on the trade, you are the one that will have to pay more for the goods.

The domestic result to you is that US companies can also put up prices because they aren't being traded down. So you have no choice but to pay more. The economic genius that pays the richest more (remember Trump is one of the rich guys) and screws the rest.

LOL.

It's apparently not that hard to do... if you just claim, facts aside, that he's "winning", or you rewrite one of his repetitive psycho rants into English, forget his beyond-sketchy history, forget his litany of racial follies, forget traditional conservative family values, forget that conservatives once cared all about the deficit, forget "United We Stand", forget that conservatives railed on Obama for using a teleprompter but Trump's use of one is like watching a middle school kid with learning difficulties trying to read a paper in front of the class, forget that tangible arguments are better than name-calling, forget that his rich daddy bought his way out of the draft, forget that he can't actually relate to any American, forget that the "good economy" has basically been good for CEOs and that's about it, forget that people that refer to themselves in the 3rd person have some sort of psychological derangement, forget that he doesn't understand how trade actually works, forget that Trump's approval has been the worst overall for any modern president, forget that he might just be in it for Trump, and Trump only.

Note: he may also be in it for his, "sexy" after a bunch of plastic surgery that he bought her, daughter.
"If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father….”. Man, gotta forget about that too. That's another classic Trump doozy.

We all know you support Democrat agendas like:

Higher unemployment rates

Higher taxes

Higher crime rates

etc.
etc.

And yet, he’s still winning. 2020 is already over, the β€˜left’ lost.

Finally... an approach to the illegal alien problem that Democrats can't just block.

Seems like a common sense approach to the problem to me, since we can't easily build a wall or draft some basic legislation.

People coming into the thread to scream about the 5 cent increase in Avocados in 3,2,1...

Would have taken you less than a minute to look up what I did and find out that what you want to say is actually wrong. But you'd rather be snarky than correct, wouldn't you?

Anyway, the main thing Mexico exports to us, by far, is cars and car parts, followed by machinery.

You know anyone with a car?

Looking around for the winning... hmmm. I see the word "winning" written by you and a few other ATSers, but not any actual winning of any kind. The numbers on Trump aren't good buddy. But I'm glad you're keeping the moral and the delusion high though. It's gotta make these swampy Trumpy days a little bit easier. Might hurt in the long run though.

*Also dude, Carroll O'connor mixed it up a bit. Ya gotta get some new material if you want to sound convincing.
