I'll lift a drink and hope that someday, I'm welcome in the halls of Valhalla with the noble warriors.

Cheers. Cheers to all those who gave their lives for something more.

In honor of them I propose we keep the young who follow in their large footsteps safe and put more focus on our vets.

Any young person who takes the oath and sacrifices deserves our support.

I think the best way to honor the fallen is remember what they did it for. Prosperity and the pursuit of happiness.

We're damned if we forget why people put their lives down for their beliefs.

A toast to those who gave their lives for an idea that they thought great enough to die for.

Thank you Niegel, Coker, Red.

You live on in my thoughts.

Mourning can be the biggest slap in the face if we don't stay vigilant to keep our freedoms and country they fought for.

But if we can keep our country while improving it... We can mourn them too.

A warrior does not wish to be mourned in death.

A warrior wants others to remember that their death was for a higher purpose and what that purpose was.

Something important enough to willingly give your life for.

It isn't the death itself that is important, or the person.

It is the idea behind it that is important.

To the three that died in Bosnia, youโ€™re my brothers forever. I think about you fellas often.

To the others that died there, and on every battlefield, the best I can offer is my prayers and thoughts. I truly wonder why it is so many better men than me have gone on, and Iโ€™m still here.

Youโ€™re never alone brothers, not even in death. As long as Iโ€™m alive then so are you.

God Bless America.

Off-topic so sorry but about the picture...

Do you know how eagles mate?

They get together a few miles up and then mate as they free-fall to the ground.

Sometimes they take a little too long and die.

A species that is rewarded for premature...

Fill in that blank... not sure about the Tees and Cees of that.

We have a duty to honor the things that these people wished to achieve, by making them happen.

One thing I don't get, not being disrespectful, however this is ATS.

I read of beliefs, higher purpose, prosperity, in the above.

As I said this is ATS and we try to deny ignorance. What deaths in the last 30 years were attributable to protecting the USA?

It seems to me that we all agree that wars recently have been about keeping the war machine chugging along, or deposing 1 dictator and installing another, or resources.

How do you reconcile such glaring facts?

They signed up to take orders whether those orders are for defending assets, dictators, or whatever.

As history shows, we cannot be completely isolationist on a global scale. WW1 and WW2 proved it is folly and eventually a greater loss of life if tyrants are allowed a foothold to expand overseas.

Those heroes who died in foriegn nations were and are serving our country and protecting our fellow citizens by attempting to keep WWW3 from raising it's ugly head and/or arriving on our very shores.
