Greatness eh?

Well, they say the greatness of a Man is not measured by how much wealth he acquires.

Rather in his integrity and ability to affect those around him positively.

Now if only both out nations could adopt a similar tact i imagine we might not be in the mess we now find ourselves.

The UK government hates him, is willing to subject him to "cruel and unusual punishment" for petty crimes and escorted a violent mob to assault him and innocent englishmen/woman.

He's doing something right, it's just sad that even though some disagree with his positions they celebrate the tyranny of their government against a fellow citizen.

Laughing it off as though they are in now way in danger of the same boot being placed on their necks.

Wait a minute didnt your president offer to punch someone out?

and hopes he would be carried out on a stretcher, yikes, plenty of the rally celebrated when he states it also, whooping and cheering every word trump would like to see done to the guy, his own words, unless this is deepfaked?

First few words in the vid really.

You don't imagine screaming about being King of the Isalm race.

Whilst being on the Columbian marching powder.

And given his past statements regarding the people in question, is derogatory nor inflammatory?

Don't wait just use Youtube/Google and see some of the other crap he has come away with. LoL

No I don't agree with you. I agree with him. The Islamic idiology and its followers are a cancer. It's a degenerative and regressive cult that is a real threat to all of us.

Thats not racist. Its a fact.

Are you really so stupid as to think 24.1% of the population of our World is a degenerative and regressive cult?

Present your facts then?

Illuminate me as to how 1.8 billion adherents are wrong, whilst you are obviously beyond reproach with your racist assumptions? LoL

Keep in mind that i don't particularly hold with any organized religious practice.

One could argue that humanity in its present condition, with capitalism and consumerism being the colour of the day, is also a cancer.

Tell me this, how is Islam or the Muslims coming to get you, how are they a threat?

This is one of the reasons I love ATS. This has no bearing on reality in the UK in 2019 but you really do believe it's true.

Wonderful.

Their own political system is a complete joke so you would think that they might be more interested in fixing that rather than telling the rest of the world how they should do things.

Have you seen UK politics lately? You voted to leave the EU 3years ago and now you’re having EU parliament elections. Nice political system you got there.

Ironically, our political system is working as it should.

We voted to leave the EU in a refendum. Referenda have zero constiutional authority.

Parliament is sovereign. It is the main constitutional power.

In 2015, David Cameron gave us a referendum to settle a civil war within his party. EU membership was only the battleground.

In 2016 it blew up in his face. We voted to leave.

In 2017, Theresa May sought a strong mandate and ordered a general election. It blew up in her face and - this point is crucial - we voted in a new Parliament. Remember, Parliament is sovereign. Our choice of the new Parliament trumped the referendum in constitutional authority and in time.

Theresa May struggled to hold her party together and deliver something the country showed it was ambivalent about. She picked a fight with Parliament to show who's boss - something neither Thatcher nor Churchill nor Blair would have tried - and she lost. Remember, Parliament is sovereign.

Until Parliament gives her government permission to act, the status quo stands. So the scheduled EU elections continued.

For the government to cancel them would have involved sidelining Parliament - and remember, Parliament is sovereign.

Sure, it looks clunky from the outside, but democracy needs checks and balances. If Parliament were foolish enough to give away its constitutional authority, who would stand in the way of another Lenin or Hitler?

While we're here, let's look at those EU election results -

Anti-EU parties (Brexit and UKIP) - 34.9%
Pro-EU parties (Liberal Democrats, Green, Change UK, SNP and Plaid Cymru) - 40.4%
Sitting on the fence parties (Conservative, Labour) - 23.2%
(Northern Irish parties - the difference)

So, again, the elections have again failed to give anyone a clear mandate for Brexit, let alone a no deal Brexit.

What's more, the Labour party seems to be shifting towards a second referendum which puts the Conservative Party in a real bind: push for Brexit, risk a vote of no confidence, risk losing a general election and spend the next twenty years tearing itself apart or compromise on Brexit and spend the next twenty years tearing itself apart.

Fact is, the 52%-48% split in 2016 seems to be the high water mark of Brexit. Compromise - part of the DNA of democracy at anytime - seems to be essential now.

No, 39 000 votes is not laughable.

I would never laugh at anyone who is willing to put themselves out there and take part in the democratic process, but to laugh at 39 000 votes is just stupid, arrogant and makes those laughing look like immature jerks. (I'm sure all those laughing have gotten more votes in elections while running as an independent)

I'm guessing that unlike me, you don't live in an overwhelmingly predominant muslim neighbourhood.

In fact im not guessing, i know it for a fact. If you did, you'd be singing a different tune.

Its all good though. Ignorance is bliss. Youll wake up when its too late.

Or perhaps I just disagree with you in which case you can lay off with the insults. You are welcome to your opinion but just because I don't happen to share it does not make me "blindfolded" or "ignorant".

Wake me up when Sharia law takes over from our justice system - although, that ain't gonna happen.

I live next to Muslims have done all my life, and i think they are ok.

Just people good and bad in all walks of life.

And if you live in a predominantly Muslim neighborhood, and go around saying the same kind of racist crap you are right now, you canny be very popular.

Treat people how you find them buddy, that's my advice.
