As I said, I don't live over there so it's hard to make an informed decision. It seems like he's copped a far whack of hate over the years, but I'm honestly not sure if it's the media being untrustworthy?

But regardless of who this guy is, if the party people are getting about 100,000 votes, I would have thought 38,000 votes for an independent person is a good/encouraging result?

Were there any other independents running? What vote count did they get? I guess that would be a good gauge to work from?

I'm just always a bit suss when people get labeled "far right" online because what I've noticed over the last few years is that most of them are not what I would consider "far right". Not saying that this tommy guy is or isn't far right, I'm just hearing two wildly differing situations on what is the actual case with this guy.

What ever happened to genuine reporters and journalists?! Man, I miss the old days before the internet!

Notice how the OP and his fellows like to pin him as a 'far right extremist'. I see zero evidence of that unless putting his country first is extremist.

It's the mainstream/government approved narrative. It makes it so that no one dare agree with any of his criticisms lest they be labeled "Raaaaaaaa-cist".

It's an understandable fear, especially in the UK. Since it's entirely possible to like a post of his on facebook and wind up with bobbies at your door.

I posted this on another thread on this topic and I think its just as relevant for this thread,

I am not a fan of Farage or Brexit but I have to say, to give credit where credit is due, I think that if Farage hadn't stepped in then we would have seen the entire Brexit cause getting hijacked by these alt-right thugs. I think that there was an attempt to create the same kind of hostile politics we see in America but in the UK political space that for the most part doesn't have a significant far-right/alt-right movement. If it hadn't been for the Brexit Party and Farage then I think UKIP and their new far-right leadership would have gained much more seats and thus legitimised their position in UK politics. Thankfully almost the opposite has happened.

The interesting message to takeaway from these results is that the British people overwhelming voted against the politics of Tommy and his band of political thugs. I might not like the man but I think we have to thank Farage for that, he has shown that you can back Brexit without having to side with the likes of Tommy.

Nice post, I can also add I back brexit without supporting either TR or NF, the sooner people realise the EU is a gravy train for the likes of them both the better, they do this not for the good of the British public but for the filling of their own pockets

He wasn't truly an independent as he was meant to be standing for UKIP but failed to fill in his forms correctly.

Coupled with his prior membership of the BNP (who polled 8% here in the past), he had the support of Democratic Lads Football Alliance and North West Infidels football hooligan firms yet only secured 2.2% of the vote and lost his deposit in contrast to his claims he'd 'stroll into Brussels like Connor McGregor' during the election.

What was you hoping Tommy could achieve in these EU elections? other than line his pockets, as A nation we have voted out of the EU, what were Tommys plans to fix it in such a short space of time? and could you explain them to me as you root for him.

Don't know about the water but Robinson is the one attempting to punt spurious snake oil via social media and the like.

Hence the contempt of court charges that landed him in the nick last time.

He's up to his neck in something, but it's not water that's for sure.

Johnson was a disaster as a foreign minister so there is nothing to suggest he would make a good prime minister, but he did give up his US citizenship quite a few years ago and he never lived there long enough to actually soak in the American attitude, bad hair and stupid comments I know suggest otherwise.

Disturbing how so many of our cousins admire a far right hooligan with a criminal history and a penchant for digging up hatred against anyone of a different race/religion isn't it? If they aren't careful that could start seeping into their political views in their own country........

You've got problems with conprehension. I never said I think he's a great person. In fact, I've given no opinion on him whatsoever. Not one.

What I have asked is for you to back up your assertions. But, you keep saying to me, and to anyone else who has asked, that you aren't going to "do our research" for us.
