Agreed, neither is going anywhere. I just wish more would whither away and modernize like christianity did. For most, it's practiced in name only with very few following the scriptures verbatim.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather live with a religion that has a few nutjobs yelling on the occasional street corner about how gays are going to hell, than one that is currently trying to send them there at 9.8ms2.

Didn't burma just say we should respect their cultural diversity when people criticized them for bringing back the death penalty for gays?

Look, it's a nuance thing. You can dislike or view all religions as a form of thought/social control(I do). Just because they are all "bad" doesn't mean you can't go in and sub rank them within as "bad" to "baddest". Islam, right now, is the worst religion in the world.

Those ""active measures"" seem to have landed us in the predicament we now find ourselves imho.

If we were not capable of evolving through we would not be the semi-intelligent monkey apex predator that we have become.

Our current society seems to be incapable of evolving, or at least what we pass off as change seldom really amounts to such.

It was probably for the best.

As a candidate, the police escort a violent mob to attack him and his supporters. The British media tries to blame Robinson. And a Youtube video showing a police officer admitting they were ordered to escort the violent mob is taken down. Imagine if he had been elected.

He may have dodged a literal bullet.

(Not a "literal" bullet of course. This is the UK. More likely suicide, a "random" knife attack, or a car accident.)

I think what he is trying to say is that you have not provided ANY evidence to back up your claim that TR is a hate-filled racist.

So until you provide some evidence, it is only your OPINION, not fact.

Don't try saying you posted a video as evidence of his hate, because I didn't hear him say anything that was racist. Admittedly, it was difficult to understand all of his words (because of his accent, speedy talking, and bad background music), so if he did say something racist, please transcribe it for us. You don't need to transcribe the whole video, just one or two sentences he said that provide evidence that he's racist.

Look up the definitions of opinion and fact, transcribe those racist words for us, or give us something else to back up your opinion. Until you do that, people will keep asking you.

No it's a very poor result.

A few years ago the North West, which Tommy was a member of, elected the BNP with 8% despite them being an openly Nazi party with slogans like 'the holocaust was a hollow hoax' and 'there's no black in the union jack'.

It's the lowest result someone from the far right has received in an election around here for 30 -40 years or so.

Back to the OP.

Not sure why people think this is surprised. The UK electorate are disinterested in political extremes. Robinon's politics have zero support beyond a fringe. Just like the other extreme that sits out in the socialist far left.

Tommy Robinson is a far right activist, like rabidly so, all of you aligning yourself with him are basically admiting you are alt right, as in the extreme, the loony tunes.
