I think the children of the Forrest were the old gods, and Rylor is unfocused blood magic.

Jon was brought back because someone did the right spell at the right time, not by rylor’s grace.

It would of been great if he had been burned. Or he should of been caught stabbing her by Greyworm. Greyworm fighting Jon to the death. Then the dragon comes in sees Dany dead and burns the area. Greyworm and Jon caught in the fire. But Jon resisted the dragonfire and been crowned king because of it. Would of been a much cooler ending.

Oh well. I've been seriously disappointed with the final season.

It felt unsetteling.... I would like to know where the dragon took Dany..that in it self could have been worth telling us in the story....I would have liked Dany to be saved from death by the dragon somehow ...and come back...realise she was wrong to be so cruel, marry jon and rule together to the end of time..and have the dragon as a pet around. But seriously..this episode felt rushed and does not do the quality of all what we have seen before credit. Such a shame...I do not know if the book is manditory but there could have been so very much better endings to this story..

I wonder how long till we have the first of many GoT spin offs.
The series was too much of a cash cow to just end it there.
Look at what AMC is doing to the walking dead.

One thing is for sure...many of the cast have received a boost in their carreer after acting this tale. I hope some familiar faces will return if there ever will be a spin off.

I like the way Stuckman reviews movies, and here he spends a lot of time reviewing GoT and the last season. Keep in mind (he'll remind you) that he binge watched the whole series prior to watching Season 8, so he doesn't have the quite the same perspective of a long-term watcher who's spent years with it.

However, I agree with most of what he says.

It isn't the choices per se, but the fact that they seem out of left field. There just wasn't enough time to explain why the characters were making some of the decisions they made and make them believable against what the previous seven seasons had established.

Going back to Dany burning all of King's Landing. Sure, she's done awful stuff, but always in reaction to something someone tried to do to her. She's righting a wrong or something like that. Cause and effect, but suddenly at King's Landing, she just goes full on Mad Queen and burns a million people who had already surrendered. Just an effect with no exact cause. The only explanation to that point is her relation to the Mad King.

Could she have done it? Sure, but there needed to be time to set it up, and the series didn't have it.

And Dany isn't the only character who did things like that.

When Cersei blew up the Sept of Baelor with everyone in it, I wasn't shocked. We had a few years to see her fall into madness.

Dany just went from being someone trying to do some good to all out crazed woman in like one episode.... You could see where it was going but they didn't have enough time to show her decent into the madness. Really a shame.

The last episode was so rushed.... they really did the show a disservice.
