Why are leftists always so concerned with what's in other people's wallets?

If the left spent more time focusing on their own wallets, maybe they'd complain less? Maybe not.

All from a quick wiki.

Bill Gates - His father was a prominent lawyer, and his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate BancSystem and the United Way. Gates' maternal grandfather was J. W. Maxwell, a national bank president.

Warren Buffett - Buffett was born in 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska, the second of three children and the only son of Leila (née Stahl) and Congressman Howard Buffett.

Bezos - Bezos is the maternal grandson of Lawrence Preston Gise, a regional director of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) in Albuquerque.[12] Gise retired early to his family's ranch near Cotulla, Texas, where Bezos would spend many summers in his youth.[10] Bezos would later purchase this ranch and grow it from 25,000 acres (10,117 ha) to 300,000 acres (121,406 ha).

Rockefeller - His father Big Bill Rockefeller - "loaned money to farmers at twelve percent, but tried to lend to farmers who could not pay so as to foreclose and take the farms." He loaned his son John $1,000 to help him start his oil empire.

These guys all really seem like they must have had terribly difficult early lives, really pulled themselves up from nothing right?

I honestly couldn't care less where Trump's money came from. My issue is with the people that try to turn him in to this Horatio Alger style folk hero.

Because the way they see it, what's in your wallet, belongs in theirs.

Bezos was born into poverty, and his grandparents were ranchers, Rockefeller barely knew his father and the loan is just speculation. Buffet, gates, their parents were just normal upper middle class careers.

Fred trump was a millionaire rich, not upper middle class. But guess what trump is chump change to those giants of innovation and business.

Trump fans will defend him no end. Even going as far as making stuff up to fit a narrative they want to be true. I've never been a fan of trump even before he became potus. And that still doesnt change my mind.
Oh well.

Trump isn't the richest in the world so he sucks hur hur.

Do you have any idea how pathetic it is to downplay Trump turning 1 million into 1 billion by saying other people are richer?

Us plebeians have a right judge the rich. It's fun. See how fun it is for me to not care about trump and compare him to more successful billionaires.

No most got caught up in the market crash. Real estate took a major hit and led to many foreclosures.

He doesnt have a tenth of the wealth of say Augustus Caesar. Now that was inherited money as he handed it down to his step son.

You mean the fact that trump was the only billionaire to grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth? While bezos was born to a 16 year old single mother and buffet didnt get a dime from his father and Rockefeller worked as a book keeper and gates did something meaningful with his business and not just jack up rent prices and build crappy casinos destroying a historical vacation spot?

A few million if I remember correctly. His main inheritance (20 million or so, I believe) was given to him while his father was still alive.

Im generally a supporter of trump. Or perhaps better put I'm not against trump, which pushes me closer to on his team in this dualistic world.

Trump is not a self made millionaire... how did trump earn his money? How did trump end up with all his property? He started out with capital to play with, with connections, with resources that most of us will never have.

without trumps family, he wouldn't be a discussion just another bum like us. You must be able to see this, I think your politicking is making you look bad.

I'm also not saying it's a bad thing he is successful because of his inherited wealth, I want to do well so my children can do well... same with trumps dad.
