This analysis was confirmed by two other sources with knowledge of the UK understanding of the situation.

The Ministry of Defence raised the threat level for service personnel in Iraq before a senior British military officer played down warnings of any new Iranian risk posed to British, US and other forces in the country, according to an informed source.

The comments on Tuesday by Major General Chris Ghika, the top UK military officer in the US-led coalition against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, were seen by a number of media outlets as a sign of a rift between the threat assessments of the UK and the US on Iran.

So it seems there is a risk and we knew all along but downplayed it, which made trump look like he was war mongering.

Is this it though? All out war?

Interesting, the article doesn't actually point to anything from the MOD which states the threat level has been raised, and to be honest I wouldn't have thought it was ever anything other than high in the first place. Surely there would always be a risk, but would it be from the Iranian state?

Same author said yesterday that the foreign office was already in 'crisis mode' with increased staffing to watch the situation, so it's not much of a surprise while the FO is in a position to make any further comment.
Overall, it's still a low key situation as yet.
The Trump/Pompeo double act though is not helpful.

"UK raises threat level for personnel in Iraq."

Understandable given the circumstances but the UK hasn't cited Iran as the reason , an "informed source" has which isn't the same thing.

We all know a war will happen, it's just a matter of who's going to start it this time.
If Iran does, look for Russia, Turkey and Iran to form an alliance against Israel.
It's getting BIBLICAL yall!!

That's what I read from this too.

"Somebody said" isn't accurate information as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, all out war is almost here.a reply to: anonymous1legion

It sure has taken too long. I wonder if Iran believes they can out-missile us?? I certainly don't believe so.

Zionists seem anxious to get biblical.

Any sovereign being would ask what are UK emps doing in Iraq (still) anyways, but it is the NWO afterall.

Tsk, tsk.

A balanced war would be Iran and Saudi Arabia. And really nobody wants to get involved, not Europe, not Russia, China, or UK.
Israel might be interested. And so is the is. Because we had been shown the intense work Israel put in to make Iran a target. I can understand that, in Iran it's kind of normal that the guy on top screams "death to Israel". Or US. That's nothing new.
All out war? No.

Didn't a UK General state earlier this week that he saw "no threat" from Iran inside Iraq?
