Can someone who knows the legality of the 'Morning after Pill' or something like RU486 in the State of Alabama please chime in? I'm sure if they are not legal, they are widely available on the internet. Although risky, less risky than the coat hanger approach as when you outlaw something that there is a demand for, you just create an underground black market weather it be drugs, alcohol, guns, abortion etc ...

As far as I know, the morning after pill is perfectly legal.

Is a married couple more apt to abort the consequences of their actions or abort it out of not being able to afford it?

IDK who can afford a child more a couple or single mother? The number one reason is not ready i.e. social reasons, close behind is cost with done having children in 3rd place. These three account for about 70% of all reasons. Another 20% is not mature enough, don't want to be a single mother or would interfere with career/school. So there is 90%..health/rape reasons is about 7%.

I have an uncle who is an "oops" baby.

He's my father's youngest brother. My father grew up grinding poor, but my grandparents kept their "oops" baby and raised. That uncle went on to make several million dollars.

I am referring t the fact that it has become more than commonplace in any debate about abortion for a man to be told to shut up specifically because he is male. The same with Christians. Now add in the colleges where ANTIFA refuses to allow conservative speakers to speak, even when they are invited by students, and the campus police acquiesce to their threats of violence. Add in the regular cries of "RACIST!" (an extremely offensive term to us who remember actual racism) whenever someone suggests closing the southern border.

Well that is the way of the left they start something then go full retard in a Piranha frenzy style of attacks even eating their own if they can't find a Conservative. Being a white straight male is like a trifecta of their complaints because of orange man bad. We see this run the gauntlet with 99%ers, then Black Lives Matter, #metoo, ANTIFA, geen socialism and so on. All Anarchistic ideals as an attack against out Constitutional Government.

Seems we get these great single examples but we do not see the big picture. I'm glad for your uncle, but what kind of up bringing did he have? Did he grow up totally dependent on the state with parents that should never have kids? Crime statistic continually went up every year and then in 1992 something strange happened and they started to go down. Every year the numbers went down in a continuous drop to looking at 2017 with numbers not seen in over 50 years and the number continue to drop still. 1992 was 20 years after Roe vs Wade and so many babies that would have come into the world in a total crappy environment didn't happen and so 20 years later they would be adults with a good number not good adults due to what would have been their life growing up.

On this we are in agreement.

One of the things I used when my kids were growing up was to specifically let them know that improper behavior would result in worse for them than no behavior. If I told them something they wanted was too expensive, they at first would throw a fit. I fixed that by making sure that they never received anything they threw a fit over. If they just accepted that it was too expensive, there was a chance I could afford it later on, and would get it for them.

It works. They figured out real quick, the way to get what they wanted was to ask, accept if the answer was no, and then later try to counter my objections logically. The way to never get what they wanted was to throw a fit.

We need to do that with these leftist idiots throwing their fit. We've coddled them and their childish ways too long. I can't think of a better place to start than their precious Roe vs. Wade. If that fails to have the desired result, we can move on to other things they value, until they figure out their hissy fits are doing the opposite of what they want.

Otherwise, they'll just keep throwing bigger and bigger hissy fits until we have a full blown civil war.

Unfortunately parents don't have to get re-elected.

Those who throw hissy fits get pandered to because those who pander get votes.

Parents simply say no.

And there are many examples of great kids who came out of bad spots.

But if you get your way, there will be no examples. Is the world better or worse without those great kids?

I tend to find that most of those “I tend to find” things are not even remotely the mainstream position...

People cannot debate the topic at hand so they shift it to some extreme position relatively no one is saying...

It happens on both sides...on countless issues..

If your premises were functionally true them male legislators couldn’t vote on abortion issues, or there would be a concerted effort to do so..

I think you are confusing “ that is easy for you to say, you don’t have to deal with the consequences..”

With

“You can’t have an opinion!”

If men didn't rule on abortion issues, we wouldn't have Roe v Wade as that was an all-male SCOTUS.

Aborting a baby is now as easy as buying a candy bar: Campus vending machines offer emergency contraception
a reply to: dfnj2015

You are an idiot. Emergency contraception stops ovulation as its main method.

www.webmd.com...

The emergency-use pills work mainly by delaying the release of an egg or ovulation. Once implantation has occurred, emergency contraception is no longer effective.

And at that stage, even of you have conceived its only a few divided cells. Not a baby.

You can call it an exaggeration all you want... I know what I have experienced, and I am not just talking about on ATS. I am active in other areas you know.

Using the same tactics may help you to understand... so how do you know what I have experienced? You don't! Until you do, don't talk to me! Why don't you go mind your own business?

Now, would you call that just disagreeing? I call it trying to silence your opponent.

I read an article that said Alabama shot down the exemption for rape on this bill. Is that true?

Deliberately DENYING a Conceived Human Being's Existence into " Our Physical World " , is Not Only Considered a Personal " Sin " by Christians and Other Faiths , but it Also is a Grievous Affront to Human Beings in General who Fervently Believe in the Sanctity of ANY Life that Exists on Our Planet Earth . Those Who Propose that Abortion is Somehow Something that should be left Solely up to the Individual Involved if the Extenuating Circumstances that might Justify it are just not taking into Consideration the Profound Impact such a Mindset could have on Future Generations of People on this Planet , and is Personally Very Disturbing to me...................... " Fella " Madam , Whatever " .

So you are saying there is no exemption for rape on this bill? I know it is hard for you to simply confirm or deny.

If that is so then this just became political kryptonite. Death of a party by over reach.

No , that was Included in the Bill the State of Alabama Passed . I Personally Do Not Agree with that Inclusion , but it Seems States Rights Enable them to " Profess " that IF They Wisah ........Hmm......

Ok, so the law isn't as draconian as El Salvador, Nicaragua abortion laws. It would have political suicide to not make an exception for rape cases.
