Please implement this

I used to login to ATS every day. I lost interest because of the front page. Evertime I visit there are an absolutely ridiculous number of Political Mud-Pit threads.

Will you please consider limiting the number of threads from each forum that can be featured on the main page?

It would be great to see the best recent threads from other forums.

I just hang out in the "new" section. You should too if you want a bit more diversity. In fact, if you visit often, you won't miss a single thread and can even catch some early on before they trend to the front page.

Meh, I counted at least twenty policial threads on the "New Topics" page which has me turned away from looking for anything worthwhile to read at ATS other than a glance at the Shed.

I would support this.

Give other forums a fair shake rather than the political forums taking the lions share of participants.

so instead of actually going into the "recent" page, you just automatically get triggered and log out.

And ATS is suppose to cater to you because you cant control your own emotions long enough to click a different link?

Agreed. But that's where the most traffic goes. And thus, more money. Fact: people are more likely to engage on a thread longer if they're upset about a topic. Happy people don't argue endlessly about things that make them happy.

No, I don't get triggered and logout, I just don't return for quite a while.

Further, I'm not simply talking about recent threads. I'm talking about a share for other forum's best thread or two.

We have a "main" pg? 10 yrs on now...I'm always logged in, never log out...and my "main page" is "NEW THREADS"...

And probably more accurate to not call us a "forum"-singular....but a site with all subject forum(S)....

Never used any app....never log out, never used mobile but DESKTOP VERSION....on my phone. Like I am now...and out of the top 20 or so "new"threads up to the minute...Less than approx 30-40% at this minute are politically-based.

Choose a different start pg!

Go to "new" not "recent"...

Didn't it used to be possible for members to remove forums from the 'recent posts' page? You could still go to any of the actual forums, they just did not show up on the recent posts page feed. Be good to get that feature back.

Click on Forums at the top and pick the topical forums you are interested in. It's that easy to avoid political topics.

Or use myATS and set up your favorite forums.

Lot's of tools here and they are simple to use.
