Does a report published by the Trump administration count as media hype? If I remember correctly Appendix 2 is where all the terror attacks are listed.

COUNTERING VIOLENT EXTREMISM

no facts please. this is ats. we all know the real terrorists are liberals, leftys, young activists (as long they are pro-earth, and against trumps daily bs) and of course transgender people, they kill like there is no tomorrow. righ wing terror doesn't exist.

One problem is that the transgender shooter is obviously mentally ill...and the MSM doesn't want to have to use the terms 'Mental Illness' and 'Transgender' in the same sentence.

You really wonder why that is?

Probably because you have two people doing the shooting who are from groups it's politically incorrect to associate any wrongdoing of this sort with. So the press can't use this story it contradicts their narratives in too many ways, just like they don't talk about the many mass shootings carried out in the hood by gang members.

sorry, but i saw this on many german newspapers. but it was just a small shooting. something pretty normal for your country.

Isn't that the thing though?

It's like this school shooting didn't take place!

Try the BBC my friend they ran the story, they report most gun shootings in America almost one a day

Colorado shooting: Teenager killed in high school attack

Colorado school shooting victim died charging attacker

US gun violence

From what I hear, one student sacrificed his life tackling a shooter, while other students help subdue them.

It would've been much worse, otherwise.

These kids are heroes.

Good idea.

Let us know what you find out.

Apparently, a large group of these kids walked out of an event at the school the other night (billed as a student vigil)...which, in reality, was an anti-gun rally sponsored by gun control groups.

Students felt they were being used and objected to the fact that all the speakers were anti-gun politicians/advocates...and that the "vigil" was not for/about the kids, themselves.

The group of students were chanting "Mental Illness" as they left the auditorium in protest.

At their age, their political prowess is that of a potato. Why people on either side must feel the need to quickly point out how someone who clearly has mental issues, is from one or another political party, is baffling. It doesn't MEAN anything. People make bad judgement calls all the time, left and right. There are mentally unstable people, left and right.

The actions of someone of their mental stability doesn't reflect on anything, other than that they are unstable.

I wish BOTH sides would stop posting this crappy posts, as if they are trying to make a point. "This person was left or right, clearly their entire base is unhinged!"

It would be nice wouldn't it, but long ago one side adopted a tactic of the ends justify the means, and when they did that, using events like this to delegitimize their opposition become the norm. They're on a mission from gawd, and they feel like they're righteous. They believe they need to punch a Nazi, and they have very specific qualifications as to what makes one that generally boils down to whoever disagrees with them and what they want.

And that's when every time an incident like this would happen, the first thing you would hear out of their mouths is "the shooter is white, clearly a racist, angry white male, obviously right wing, more right wing violence, why do you guys let people like this speak for you, why don't you disavow persons A,B,C,D, etc., well you're just racists, well not all of you are racists, but all racists are you ..." It's endless, relentless and gets disgusting.

But they feel it's how they win.

So ... yeah, this thread is a bit of punchback. Do we like it Actually, no, but sometimes, you have to fight fire with fire in order to try to make a point.

What the hell we're at war, aren't we?

The left shoots up the right, the right shoots up the left, rarely do the bad guys die, just the folks in the middle, but that's always been the case with war.

We've been calling it a civil war for quite some time now.

Neither side is pure and innocent in this.

Just calling it as I see it. The only dark humor I find is the media playing some bull crap game about hiding the motives of the killers.

We're at war, Pumpkin.

We have been for quite some time.
You’ve obviously never seen war.

A good summation.

I refuse to let the media or social media dictate how I'm to express myself or in the manner to which they would prescribe.

So since this story is a bust, I guess the anti-gun folks will be pushing this crappy story next:
From: abcnews.go.com

The Los Angeles Police Department busted Girard Damien Saenz, 57, with as many as 1,000 weapons piled up in his home. Authorities also found massive stockpiles of ammunition.

The important part of the story that tells you something else is up is this at the end:

Saenz apparently was licensed to own weapons

Really? SO if the media can't get people to care about control one way they come up with a different story next. When I say media, I don't just mean the people "reporting" the story, but also those people who are pushing this narritive. These narritive pushing anti-Americans are more than likely the same people who brought the poor girl the nakkiedly died trying to do this shooting a few weeks ago, these idiots that did the shooting (by the way try and say that, that girl and these shooters aren't connected), and now this gun story. I really hate to see whats next for these people if this story doesn't fly.

Glad the Trumptastics find humor in this.
Pathetic.

Theres limits for humor?

Everyone wear your obligatory frowns so we can all prove how we are better than everyone else not sufficiently heartbroken.

Sorry, I ran out of fux after the first couple hundred shootings. If society doesn't care to address the real issues, (and lets face it, nobody gives a #) what good will it do to put on the whole "my thoughts are with the victims and loved ones" dog and pony show every time, when nothing changes?

Maybe making fun of it will wake people the # up. *shrug*

Transgenders are already troubled and confused people. It's no surprise they're always liberals. But I know the left won't call this a far left terrorist act, they'll claim this is a lie and the two were Trump loving righties. Their script is already written.

Invisible star for you for this...as they won't stick.

I would just like to take the time to say Kendrick Castillo should be remembered as a hero, to save the lives of his fellow students by rushing a shooter, is bravery at it's up most.

Maybe we all should take a minute, and think of how we respond to each other here with labels, leftist this, maga that and some real derogatory crap from the far ends of the political spectrum on ATS. Young minds are easily manipulated, and "stuff" read here in the mud pit could start someone on the wrong journey of being politically charged, Freedom of speech maybe seen as a right, but I cant type f*** here without being warned or banned, it can charge people up, and pass on ideas, both good and bad, and has consequences.

I believe firearms/guns should be kept out of reach of anyone other than the weapon owner, and firearms training and mental health checks should be mandatory. Go search how many firearms are stolen because people leave them "safe" in an unlocked cupboard/wardrobe and then have them stolen or taken and used in incidents of this type of thing.

And to anyone who wants to say I'm socialist or left bla bla bla, I voted Conservative (right of centre to you Yanks) during Great Britain's last election, I voted leave at the "Brexit" referendum (also viewed right of centre).

I can't even begin to address how many ways your opinion is off the mark.

Suffice it to say, guns and civilized society do mix. It is only a problem when uncivilized animals who seek only to harm others get hold of them that there is a problem. This problem is not the guns fault - it is the person. If these people desire to harm others guns are not the only way they could do so. Guns are not easier, more convenient, or more effective. They just get more attention from liberal media.

If I was going to commit a violent atrocity in an elementary school, I would not choose a gun as my weapon. I would use a bladed weapon. I could do just as much damage without alerting anyone to my whereabouts. I would take steps to mitigate any verbal indications that I was there doing evil acts. And I would be free to hack away until someone finally did figure out what was happening. No bang bang. No locked doors. No hiding students. Just surprised victims.

Your anger is misplaced. It should not be with our so-called gun obsessed society. It should be directed at the MEDIA - Most Evil Disease In America - for creating a false bias in people that does not advance fact but rather liberal agenda.

The problem is the person with a "gun". Guns were designed and created for taking life.
A civilized society "shouldn't" have the need for firearms but society isn't really that civilized yet, but if someone wants to own a firearm they should have prove that the firearm will be kept safe.
Across the world a person can't just call themselves a doctor and start injecting people with what ever takes his eye, he has to prove it. A police officer has to study and pass exams, and such. Here in the UK a car has to have an M.O.T. to prove it's safe to drive. all over the world you have to be a certain age to consume alcohol, have sex or vote, the same should be for safe ownership of a firearm.
