Actually, the president is not a private citizen, he is a public servant. But it would be of interest to know how the Times obtained the documents.

If they were talking about the tax returns from Jan 2017 onward, you might have a point.

The past is of no concern?

On that, I disagree.

You think that someone’s private tax documents should be stolen and aired to the public for political purposes?

No, I don't think so.

But I don't think that, having been shown, they are irrelevant.

They are by definition irrelevant, not to mention retrieved and disseminated maliciously and by nefarious means.

They are by definition irrelevant

By definition of what?

not to mention retrieved and disseminated maliciously and by nefarious means.
Well, that would apply to any number of things.

“Irrelevant”. What does your tax info from 30 years ago say about you?

What does your tax info from 30 years ago say about you?

That I was a "self unemployed" hang gliding instructor. Certainly not that I was a great businessman. Of course, I've never claimed to be that.

Hasn't he been vetted already in private by the government? Did they miss something and need the public's opinion on his taxes? Seems standards have gotten more strict all of a sudden. I feel if he had any questionable dealings it would've come out by now. Conceal nothing and watch the fools search forever.

So what about 1995 to 2016?
Dems simply don't get it - this just galvanises support and casts Trump in a better light. He managed to lose over 1 billion, turn it all around and make more.
I guess the argument that he only made money because his dad gave him a start is now as dead as the Russian collusion delusion.

So trump lost 1 billion in the 80s and 90s..

So? That was 25 FRIKKEN years ago...

The left and the dems embarrass themselves more and more every day

Whats impressive, Is trump managed to repair, rebuild and fund his own campaign to become President.

Show me a single democrat with the strength and will power to do that.

So the big question is can they impeach him for that? Thats the most important thing at this point.

In other news Tiger Woods went 10 years without a single major and 5 years without a single tour win... hahahaha what a terrible golfer.
The Patriots only scored 3 points in 3 quarters in SB XIII - and they LOST the 3rd quarter 3-0!!! rubbish!!!
Liverpool lost the first leg of the Champions League semi final 3-0 to Barcelona..hahahahah!! Awful team!

Master of the Universe right?

At least now we know why he wants to keep his taxes secret.... He doesn't pay any.

But I am certain that here he will be viewed as so smart.... smart enough to not pay taxes.

Never thinking about how much less we make but still manage to pay our share.

He lost more money than any other individual American in that decade. Top of the heap.

Oh it was beyond the norm. So beyond that he actually lost more money than anyone else in the whole country.
The biggest loser. Lost so much that he avoided paying any taxes for eight out of ten years.
Now we just need to know how his accountants handled that.

But we dont need to see his taxes right? Right? RIGHT?
