It's not a REeeee (btw an old and outdated meme, keep up, they're onto Clown world now) it's reality, I'm an outside looking in, I'm a rather apolitical person, but the way the US is going right now is just ridiculous. Look at my initial comment in this thread, it wasn't an attack, it was more of a "what the hell are you guys doing?" comment.

How's that American economy doing against Vietnam, China, all of Europe, basically the rest of the world?

Oh wait, you voted in a protectionist because it's not going so well, had to bail out banks and auto makers with tax payers money, had a housing crisis, lost your manufacturing and agriculture to foreign nations, most of your debt is owned by Asians, and a billion of that indirectly gave unlimited solar energy to 800 Million Africans.

Yup that consumer economy is working, just keep buying those TVs, smartphones and cars and other crap to feed the rest of planet earth.

Um....

You do realize that the bank bailouts were done by Obama, the auto bailouts were Obama, the housing crisis was caused by Clinton and Democratic policies, we lost manufacturing and ag jobs because of things like NAFTA and high taxation (democratic policy), everything else was already screwed up decades before Trump got into office and he is the first President we've had that is actually trying to fix it?

We were brought into a consumer economy instead of a manufacturing/ag one because of higher corporate taxation.

Which party champions that, again?

I think you really need to use your internet connection to research History.

Because you don't seem to know anything about it really.

You have the same strawman arguments all the time.

Capitalism good, socialism bad. There's no point on even arguing with you on social and economic theocracy.

Except socialism IS bad, and capitalism IS good. Even China agrees with those facts, (except for the part of socialism giving them full control and servitude of the people to them.) Which is what the US democrat party has been trying to achieve while pretending not to.

What is there to argue about when speaking of reality? Oh, yes, the democrat platform is based upon denying reality. I keep forgetting that part because of the unfathomable nature of it.

Because capitalism isn't the future on a global climate of economics.

People still need raw resources, they don't just magically all grow within the USA. How can people be so naive to that concept...

OK, now you're just grasping for straws.

What influence have they had on planet earth?

Never heard of the Renaissance, the Silk Road, Marco Polo, the Crusades, the Venitian Navy, or the Venitian Arsenal Shipyards? Venice had a LOT of influence on the world, my friend.

That's the catholic church, not Venice... Venice was a province, and was a republic. But was under the thumb of the Church, basically aristocrats of religion hence why Venice was a hot spot for crusader elites.

Also the silk road was more of the making of the Khans not the eastern Roman empire.

Bush went to Congress and told them not once, not twice but 17 times that the housing market was going to crash.

Barney Frank laughed at him.

You know, the guy that ran the Democratically-owned Housing Committee for the last 35 years.

He was still laughing right before it crashed... called Bush an idiot.

The Sub-Prime mortgage crisis was brought on by Democrats as well.

Use your interwebz and look up the name Dodd.

Not that Bush could have done anything about it... Harry Reid was the Senate Majority leader his last two years.

Obama walked into a crash that Democratic policies caused.

And his legacy was that he took a 18-21 month recession and stretched into 8 years.

Would have been longer if Hillary got in.

Again, use the internet and study History before you post things.

You shuffle out excuses and shift the goalposts faster than any Vegas sports bookie I've ever seen. You missed your calling.

Regardless of their affiliation with the Catholic Church, the fact remains that the longest uninterrupted form of government in the history of the world was, in fact, a republic. The Republic of Venice. You seem blind to that fact, Venitian blinds perhaps?

ETA, whether it was invented by the Khans or not, without Venice, Europe wouldn't have been in play in that trade and it would have faltered. When you buy oranges in the store, who is more integral to the process where the buyer is concerned... one farmer out of thousands in Florida or Texas or the only store in your community that sells oranges?

So the answer is socialism... where nobody gets any resources...

Politics in the USA, are beginning to remind me of Monty python.

The democrats, pretend to be the power for the minority and those that hate white people yet the republicans seem to appear normal, so what I have figured out is the democrats and those that agree and follow those leading the charge to hate someone and a striving economy are truly the enemy of the state. Either your truly uneducated and you dropped out in 5th grade or you truly hate America to hate trump and his/our accomplishments. Do I like trump personally not so much, but when in History has America, done so well? At this point I truly believe the mentally ill hate trump, or those that are just racist hate him, or those like democrats true politicians who have a stake in power really hate him or just the trolls in underwear with no life use him on forums to stimulate or attempt to stimulate the closest thing to success they will ever feel because they are losers as a catalyst. All in all the real winners in America, can see the truth...

Carry on..

Still requires a democracy when you boil it down.
There's plenty of states that can reach a vote of 51% - 49% you know.

Yeah, now convince the "deplorables" to grow your crops without representation.

Or are we too backwoods pieces of crap to know sh!t from shinola? Us gun-toting losers make this nation. But continue to crap on us, by all means. And you wonder how Trump won the election...

The Roman empire fell because of the Christianity. How was Venice not a byproduct of that? Also, Rome championed republic government, they allowed states as long as their senators or governors were in power within' that region.

My whole point about picking at republic was that they don't work. Rome was a pure republic and Venice was the last of it's kind because it was favored by the one thing that brought down the system, Catholics.

China has tons of raw resources as do many other countries. And capitalism in capitalist countries are what is driving the other kind of countries to develop all their resources and those other countries are definitely taking advantage of capitalist concepts in that regard.

Capitalism has been growing exponentially in socialist and communist countries. Just look at China. Of course their form of government is what is keeping them from true greatness.

Of course those who believe capitalism is bad and socialism is good will continue to pretend capitalism is bad while they REAP the rewards of capitalism.

But Pol Pot’s Cambodia was an awesome society and all western nations (and ONLY western nations) should adopt socialism, because it’s so successful.

Sorry man, like the President has stated on live TV many times now, America will NEVER be a socialist country.

And he’s there for another six years yet so it won’t be changing any time soon.

So now you can't even read.

Bush couldn't have done anything about it... the executive branch does not pass laws and he had no Senate or House to do that with.

And for the record (again) the guy that walked in to fix it was the from the same party that caused it in the first place so did nothing about it.

Hell... he even said it wasn't possible.

You're talking in circles now, can't refute most of what I said and at this point are just cherry-picking every 15th sentence of mine.

So you are no longer... functional in any sort of debate.

I'm going to leave you alone now.

I find you understanding of history and geopolitical history to be lacking. The Roman "Republic" was a monarch based empire at the head with only the Senate being any measure of a Republic. Augustus could be argued to have been a duly elected emperor, but beyond him it was a lot more about birthrights, military coups, and pay to play, none of which are cornerstones of Republics.
