From someone that has been very distant in the past in any situation...

And all i did was recommend that they give Virtual Reality a try...

Sittin at the bar with a friend... totally random, the bartender who was clearly having a good night... walks up to me and hugs me!

Hes like.." thank you for telling me about that virtual reality stuff"... I say, "what did you actually try it"?

Guy says... Its so awesome...

Shook me up a bit... but this is the effect it can have on people.

He ran out the door but I can't wait to find out what he played!

Tell me if I got this right, you are in a bar, recommend someone try VR, they do and they are so happy with their VR experience they gave you a hug some time latter

They are so happy they show human emotion and gratitude that people can’t show VR? And your happy because you got a real hug from a real person in a real place for recommending they try an unreal experience and feel happy you can be part of their experience

If this says anything to me then we should probably try VR but not forget really connecting with people in real life

I just find it interesting the real life and the VR side

I'm still waiting for VR to really get where I want it to be. I'm guessing a couple years at most.. but its already very cool.

My biggest thing is I want a bit over "full" FOV (large enough that I can't see the edges even when moving my eyes), at least 8k per eye, and definitely better interfaces.

I have some personal needs that I wouldn't mind seeing addressed either, but no expectations. I'm a cripple, so that impacts my experience.

It'll get there Until then, I'm very happy with my WMR set.

I hope you reminded him to shut the Oasis off on Tuesdays and Thursdays because reality is what's real.
