WILL YOU RECUSE YOURSELF FROM THOSE INVESTIGATIONS? ATTY. GEN. BARR: NO.

emphasis mine

AG Barr Says He Won't Recuse Himself From Further Investigations

These democrats are idiots and the people that swallow their pap are equally challenged.

Are there impeachment discussions around Barr's refusal to recuse himself from ongoing investigations involving the president?

What are the impeachment charges supposedly being considered against Barr, specifically? I'm aware of, but not interested in the complaints, only the criteria for impeachment.

why would the US Attorney General Recuse themselves from an investigation of corruption by the Democrats. No conflict of interest is present, it is the Democrats that are making false accusations and stating out right lies. You do not comment on the legitamacy of a report if you have not read the report. The Democratic party is acting like a bunch of first graders.

I think you're giving the dems a bit too much credit there. First graders, by comparison, at least have the excuse of being naive of the world.

In the history of the United States, 19 individuals have been impeached.

Of those, 14 were judges, 2 were presidents, 1 was senator, and 1 was secretary of war. Of those 19 impeachments, 8 were found guilty and removed from office, 7 were acquitted, 3 resigned before proceedings could continue, and 1 had charges dismissed for want of jurisdiction although the senator was expelled from office regardless.

Charges include, but are not limited to perjury, bribery, abuse of power, intoxication, obstruction, and others.

AG Barr is performing his duties as assigned and for some reasons democrats are scurrying about like cockroaches after the lights have come on.

Hold that Russia collusion delusion close and maybe, just maybe, big bad Barr will go away.

That's not what I asked, though, is it?

What charges are being considered against Bill Barr for impeachment?

This is what one of the propaganda outlets has to say regarding Barr's possible impeachment:

Barr’s remarks are unlikely to meet the legal requirements to make out a case of perjury or even a false statement to Congress. However, impeachment need not be based on a crime. Pelosi says, in essence, his conduct in misleading Congress disqualifies him from office; the remedy, if one believes that, is impeachment.

...

Impeachment proceedings for Barr should be seriously considered, if for no other reason than it will help lay the predicate for possible impeachment hearings for Trump. It buys time. It educates the public. He will be a blot on his record and his most noteworthy “accomplishment.” And if we want to maintain our constitutional system, it’s a necessity.

Let’s see if Barr blinks and agrees to show. If not, Democrats should have at it.

Get that?

"Impeachment need not be based on a crime... It buys time... He (sic) will be a blot on his record..."

More butthurt and smear attempts are all it is. This would be laughable if it weren't the so called leaders of our country engaging in this activity.

Where's than damned meteor?

They’ve been getting whatever they’ve wanted from the halls of power for quite some time. I think that’s why their grandstanding resembles withdrawal symptoms.

I think the Democrats are cornered.

The election year is starting and if they drag it out with Barr, they will have to split their comapaign message between getting Barr and getting elected.

I dont know if the Democrats would believe that they could win by attacking their opponent instead of a strong platform. That failed last time.

If Meuller stays exactly neutral, the Dems should walk away from this.

If Trump gets reelected, Barr is going to be getting his arse kicked up and down the block for at least 4 years or until he resigns.

Well, to be fair, Barr did lie under oath. Whether that instance rises to the threshold of impeachment or not is kind of sketchy, especially since Jeff Sessions lied, and wasn't impeached.

If they really want to impeach Barr they need to try harder.

I only wonder when impeachment talk will emerge ahead of IG Horowitz's internal investigation report on the FBI.

Kamala Harris asks DOJ IG to probe whether Trump asked Barr to investigate political opponents

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., on Friday sent a letter to the Department of Justice’s inspector general demanding he investigates whether the White House had urged Attorney General William Barr to investigate President Trump’s political opponents.

The Democrats should really think about what they’re doing. The attorney generals office wouldn’t stay empty .

If they succeed in removing Barr. They could end up with an attorney general like Rudy Giuliani or Chris Christie or someone similar.

Both are well known to have a hard on for Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.

And aren’t shy of saying so .

They if I understand it right are accusing him of lying under oath about something which he reportedly did not. But yes if he investigating members of Congress then Congress has no right to remove him that would be an obstruction of justice.

Dems are just trying to drag this out as long as they can, if they can make it past 2020 and they pull off a win, the Dem President would just sweep it all under the rug, like Hillary was going to do. And Sookiechacha, what did Barr lie about under oath? because Mueller has already killed that notion, if it's what the Dems were claiming.

Democrats are acting surprised that President Trump has picked an attorney-general General who agrees with him.
