No. That could be propaganda. You can say anything. It's the vote that creates laws.

If you don't care about public record congressional hearings then you just don't care about what happened.

Nah we aint good but it feels good to pretend we are. I remember once upon a time on this very site it was a general consensus that these numbers are absolute BS. I don't know what happened.

The number is BS; it neglects to count people who are not actively looking for work, but should be, because they have given up.

However from a relativistic stand point if the calculation is used consistently it can still be used as a trend gadge.

Those people gave up from 9/11 until DJT. Obama and maybe DJT's admins have tweaked the numbers but I have seen good jobs coming around here at least. The competitive pay is what is really nice. The only people getting stiffed for pay are Teachers and LEO's around here.

Yes.

We are in the rat race. It's not ideal but for the time being it puts food on the table.

Not happy? Find a higher paying job...

Correct!
Up your game and don't blame someone else.

I don't. Congressional hearings are a joke. I care about votes that make laws or restrict laws.

Do you think it's that simple? No I dont think the employment numbers show any major change. Obama had 4.2 supposedly but was given 10 when he started...the Iraq mess and spending credit crunch we didn't seem to learn from happened.

So no not impressed until we stop spending more than we make as a society. Sorry. Guess I am old school.

Simple question.

Is more people working and earning money good or bad?

It's not simple doing what? Payed for by who? You mean like the Bernie job guarantee?

We are going to start the nickname Dodgy 2 our Aussie friend who calls HRC that would have to do the honor for some of you deflectors, and you might be in the running as of this post.

If people are spending beyond their means, then it's on them.

Our society spends way too much and lives beyond their means. It's systemic.

It's stupid.

But it isn't Trumps fault.

You don't care for the record? What the hell do we have if not them on record to help us decide to keep them representing us?

It is if he loosens loan requirements and proposes government monetary injections.

Why cant people debate if printing money is good or bad anymore?

Have you ever even heard of personal responsibility?

Jumping Jesus man!

I've had insane offers on loans to buy big beautiful places and I used "personal responsibility" to determine if I could comfortably afford it or not.

If we're going to go down the road that people are too effing stupid to make their own (bad) decisions, then push for your god-damned communism and don't go half way.

Go all in 'cause we just be too am a stooped to atake a care of ourselves.

Voting to give money to those who can't pay was what happened. Hearings or not the D's wanted people who could not possibly afford a house to be sold one with a loan the Gov ultimately backed.

It is the plan to bankrupt the "Target Country" and we are that target. Why you might ask? Simply so that gov power can be abused without consequence like we may be witnessing get more likely to happen (incrementally) for the last 50 years.

You dont seem to get the argument. If the people default on those loans from loosening underwriting for say home loans that will affect the responsible saver as well.

More people get the extra 800 sqft since rates are held artificially low etc..

If consumers debt themselves out purchasing falls jobs contract etc...

My point is these metrics dont show reality at all. The majority of middle class people shouldn't be carrying more debt then income for their lifespan.

So you need the gold standard to not print off money for government debt and economic crisis?

I see well I guess we all believe in government intervention in everything now. May as well print and spend on anything.

I want a jetski for the economy. Get me some low rates from tax money.

Remember when "debt" was the anathema to the GOP and conservatives. Now they call you a communist for even bringing it up.

So nobody has put together the debt from credit spending being paid off by taxpayer money is basically socialism? Your taxes pay for loan defaults?
Ok.
