The maturity level of House members seems to have dropped to grade school level.

This shows what they think of their constituents. They may be right.

I like it.

Either Barr didn't read any of it and is just saying whatever sounds good or he deliberately lied expecting no one else would read it.

That makes as much sense as interrogating an empty chair.

Barr did the redacting. How could it even be possible to redact the report without reading it? Are you claiming he closed his eyes and just started marking out stuff in the dark? And somehow managed to get all the right parts redacted? As for expecting no one else to, Barr was under no legal obligation to release the report at all, so why would he release it hoping no one would read it?

Congressman, is that you?

So you think that Barr personally did the redactions? More than likely he played the role of a supervisor and told others what he wanted done and left them to do it. Especially since he was rather new on the job and didn't have time to cram years of investigation results to know what would jeopardize current court cases of national security issues. There were a few instances in the hearing where he have me the impression that he really didn't read even as far into the report as I did.
And at the time that Barr released his four page summary did he give any indication that he planned on giving out any more information?
Or was he forced to change his plans by muellers actions a few days later?

I don't know of any of your kids have served in the military but my son was serving during the Iraq war. What happened with the prisoners being tortured realle disturbed me. And it wasn't really so much what they did to the prisoners as much as what they did to our own service members. There is no doubt in me that the orders came from the top and they were just following orders. And I do realize that war is a nasty business. But for them to put someones daughter or son in a position where they felt that they has to treat another so sadisticly? And then of course in the end the order givers skate away in honor while the sons and daughters are jailed.
I am sure you are wondering why I am bringing this up. Well the commander in chief of those armed forces now is someone who is known to have told his rally goers to go ahead and assault others at his rallies and he'd pay their legal fees. If you believe the reports he's told border patrol to ignore decisions made in our court's and if they get into trouble for it not to worry he would just pardon them. And that's not to mention many of the instances in the Mueller report where he tried to get people to do things that would have put them in legal jeoperdy.
Just be honest with yourselves ask ask. Would you want your son or daughter serving under this commander in chief?

So Barr personally didn't read it, his underlings did ... because you hate Trump?

I fully expect that Barr as Attorney General probably has not read the full 448 page report. Mueller's job was to investigate, create this report, and summarize it. Barr and Rosenstein most likely had only read the 19 page summaries provided and Volume 2 only since Mueller did not reach a conclusion and one had to be made.

This is logical since that is why a special counsel was used. It is illogical for Barr to disagree with Mueller and begin another 2 year investigation to confirm the SC findings.

The staff and specialists from 4 different groups redacted the report to ensure nothing was released publicly that should not be.

Forget age restrictions, citizenship restrictions, and all that jazz... can we just have a simple medical exam for potential Congress members to see if they have a functioning brain before they get on the ballot?

This is one of the truest statements i've read on here in a long while, totally true. There would have to be a committee to ensure the psychiatrist wasn't owned by someone like soros and, had an analysis done on him too, by a committee who chose his psychiatrist based on proof that he/she too were sane.

No because Barr seemed to claim he couldn't understand why Mueller didn't make a definitive decision when it came to charging or indicting trump. Mueller is pretty clear in his explaination as to why he didn't make that decision.
Because when one of the senators brought up manifort sharing of poll data he acted like he didn't know what he was talking about. Although its plain as say in the report. That is just the two instances that come to mind at the moment.
I could be wrong but I don't believe he even read the thing.
By the way. Hate is a strong world and a very destructive emotion to those who entertain it. I make a point not to entertain it.

As the attorney General he only needed to read Special Council Mueller's summary conclusions. Unfortunately, Mueller did not reach a conclusion on volume 2. So I suspect that the Attorney General had to read volume 2 in order to make a conclusion. Volume 1 was not needed to be read since Mueller made a conclusion. So it is not shocking that he is not thorough on the criminal charges in volume 1.

So you think that Barr personally did the redactions?

With assistance from staff, yes. It's his job. Rosenstein also assisted, or is he lying too?

Especially since he was rather new on the job and didn't have time to cram years of investigation results to know what would jeopardize current court cases of national security issues.

New on the job? William Barr is at the end of his career... a long career which includes former roles as Attorney General. This ain't his first cake-walk. It's not rocket science to know that references to Grand Jury deliberations are not allowed, and it's also not brain surgery to pick out where something might indicate information that could be ongoing... and of course Rosenstein would be quite familiar with which investigations are ongoing. Same with techniques.

There were a few instances in the hearing where he have me the impression that he really didn't read even as far into the report as I did.

Or maybe, just maybe, you were listening with preconceived notions.

And at the time that Barr released his four page summary did he give any indication that he planned on giving out any more information?

Barr stated that he would release whatever he could legally release before the report came out. He did not have to release anything except his summary. He released the whole report!

Trump had every right to fire Mueller... he didn't. Trump could have used Executive Privilege... he didn't. Trump was under no obligation to request that witnesses testify to the Grand Jury/FBI... he did. There's no "there" there, and trying to concoct a wild theory that ignores recent events is not making you look good here.

It's over. Mueller failed. Congress is imploding. The DNC is self-destructing. Don't go down with the ship.

I don't know of any of your kids have served in the military...

Don't go there. I have family members who served in the military; as a matter of fact, I would put my family history of service against yours any day. My best friend, who I have known in that respect for 45 years, has a son in the Middle East; I have stories of his exploits (which I cannot place in a public forum) that would turn your hair white. I have a nephew who is a disabled vet. All of them are Trump supporters. All of them.

If I were you, I would be more worried about those who would see our military as a way to interfere in other countries for financial reasons, or who would use them as some sort of social experimentation program. That's the ones who will get our soldiers - our children - killed in action.

Clint Eastwood became a national laughingstock in the press for this. What do you want to bet the press finds this all outrageous and shameful that the House was impugned in such a manner and had to go to such lengths?

Wasn't Clint Eastwood widely lauded for the performance? All I remember is praise for the bit. Maybe its a matter of what I listen to / watch.
