It’s about time. Can’t wait to watch another socialist government fall beneath the weight of its own tyranny,

I hope the oppressive socialist regime is crushed and the people of Venezuela get to embrace freedom.

Well something was going to happen.
I think it was either this or the people sack the Capital and eat Maduro and his Govt.

I was half-expecting Maduro to wind up hung from his feet, Mussolini-style. A military coup would be far better than any realistic alternative that awaits him.

It's not for me to think for you, the result was recognised by China, South Africa, Cuba, Iran, Egypt, Russia, Syria and Turkey however

so if the result was recognized by these nations why do you oppose it?
the people voted
the assembly recognized the vote
the nations you listed recognized it according to you

seems you are the only outlier

not surprising from someone an ocean away
slow day protesting at the course?

Glad to see that, as ever, you have so much to bring to these debates.

Interesting you say that, because the problem a lot of people on this thread seem to have is that they see things only from a purely Western world point of view, with a shared inability to see things as they actually should be viewed, the global point of view.

A democratic country forcing their ways on another country is not democratic at all

The day is young.

Maduro still has time to kill himself in a bunker, like Hitler did 74 years ago, today.

It’s the paradox of tolerance. If we extend tolerance to the intolerant, tolerance becomes destroyed.

No, no, no. You mean once again we see the oppressive might of the, er, oppressive capitalistic cynical US military industrial complex and er big oil interfering in a freedom loving socialist utopia. Did I mention the CIA and Bush?

oh which way to go with this one

firstly we are back to the vote of the people....you know the one the duly elected assembly ratified.....you know that democracy thing you keep pointing to

aside from that .....countries forcing other countries and that bit is pretty rich coming from a nation that cant seem to leave when it wants to....
you know peoples vote and democracy and all.....

It’s an actual paradox from the philosopher who wrote The Open Society and It’s Enemies.

Another Country: "We have oil."

USA: "Hold my beer!"

USA-MSM: "That country needs freedom!"

..some time later..

That country: "There is an uprising?!"

pretty rich

The only significant words from your entire little speech of any note, could've saved yourself the effort. It's all and was only ever about the money

And think your little nit-pick 'joke' almost made sense:

slow day protesting at the course?

I actually quit playing golf around 20 years ago, probably around the same time Trump was probably molesting women in his resorts

Venezuela is part of the western world, so what has China or Russia got to do with sticking their oars in? What is so wrong in taking a western world point of view in a country that is in the western world?

oh no doubt about that, especially with the socialist lot;
taking from others is the great socialist way is it not?
funny that rich was the word you had issue with, or not.....can't be having rich now can we....

way to catch up
also way to bring in the bad orange man into the discussion so you could slander him
tho I don't think he is effected by barbs from the scots....he endured many and still built golf palaces there

when you think you are losing an argument, always throw in an insult so every KNOWS you are losing the argument.

Insult are intellectually lazy, and make one look stupid, you don't want to look stupid I'm sure.

It's more to do with the Western idea of democracy and not geographical location, I refer you to this:

A democratic country forcing their ways on another country is not democratic at all

I would also suggest that China and Russia probably have more interest here than usual because the US are trying to install their puppet dictator, something akin to a counter-reaction

How to win an election, don't let anyone who is a threat compete, and rig the election.
