Different works find for me.

Getting somewhere, it is looking like this is about the ability to blank out areas where the mountains are blocking the radar is what they have so far.

ETA, I can't get much use for forecasting tomorrows pollution from that product, we probably wouldn't use it. Can we get more nerdy?

Radomes being blown down are indicative of high winds.

Once in a North Sea storm, an old anemometer left its perch in an 88 kt breeze. We already knew it was windy with 30 ft seas and there was some speculation that the anemometer was carried away by water.

That is called radar shadow and should always occur unless the clouds are usually above the mountain ridges. If this was a low lying weather event, it would be missed.

What could it mean? Why would there be an end time to the station being disabled due to weather? maybe the station required maintenance and was inaccessible due to flooding?
