The republicans have been moving towards the "center" in US politics for a long time now. The push in media that the "alt-right" is radical is absolute horse manure. Trump is quite really a 1950s era Democrat (not of the dixiecrat variety). Let that sink in. The political movement between the two parties has been evident and moving "left" since Pat Buchanan.

I will lay it out simply. The "tea party" and other more libertarian bent conservatives are not and have not been radicals. The "alt-right" is just another media term to label people who do not toe the previous Republican party lines. That is an absolutely huge area of political ideas to place under a banner for the sake of demonizing them. Much like the common neo-conservative meme of being against socialism, because it is communist. Trump figuratively straddles the line between the neo-conservatives and the neo-democrats. That places him historically at nearly the same position as President Truman.

I think the heart of the problem is that too many believe that one man, the President, can fix all the ills of this world. It is a lie that has deceived many.

History shows that we woke up and realized that we did not need a king, so we got rid of the king. We replaced him with a President that over time became a figurehead for a king that rules in the shadows.

As long as we continue to give away our power in hopes that someone else is going to make the changes that we think we want, we will be slaves, not rulers of our own country.

Meh.

I don't really care how the right live, to be perfectly honest. I likewise don't GAF how the left live, either. Stay out of my life, my relationships, my bedroom and my house and we are good. Try to enforce woke political correctness, Jesus or bad country music on me and we got problems.

Marty Robbins > Hip Hop country.

NO I am not a Glenn Beck fan but even the unfavored are like busted clocks, they are right half of the time.

What? Half the time? You know that makes no sense, right?

I heard the country was going to be doomed when Clinton was elected.

The only thing that can save us is the moderate democrats saving us from the progressives. So yea we're probably screwed.

Don't worry, Trump's policies will save everyone, with one exception - welfare leechers.
