Beta wants open borders, I don't think he'd beat Trump in TX.

My theory is he will run again, win again, and resign.

Meaning one man picked our potus.

Because potus picks the vp solely on his own right?

Correct.

I'd blame the populace more than government though. Our apathetic society doesn't hold them accountable. Why would they do anything different so long as we don't expect them to?

Didn't Cruz beat Beto in Texas? Trump beat Cruz in 2016. My bet is Beto has no chance against Trump...especially in Texas.

A bit more nuanced, but kind of. You vote on a Presidential/VP ticket. At Trumps age it should be weighted in voters minds they are voting as much for the other name on the ticket as his.

My suspicion will be confirmed if Pence makes his way off the next ticket.

There is a good possibility that he will walk away as a winner. It will depend strongly on who he is going up against. Trump is not big on losing.

I just have not seen anyone, yet, that is strong enough of a contender.

I see a bunch of people with agendas and some that are just looking for their few moments of fame. Where is the real Presidential material?

Much like in many businesses, any one worth their salt is just too damn smart to put themselves in that hot seat.

I hate to say it, but I think what's going to happen is Trump will decide not to run in 2020.

I think there is something to be said about that line of thought. Why would a billionaire want some of his last years to be in this position?

The only thing that throws me off is he's still doing rallies which makes it look like he's still campaigning.

My theory is he will run again, win again, and resign.

I sure wish conservatives would learn how to fight, instead of being beaten down naysayers and little victims. Name one thing Trump has quit in his life. Just one.

The democrat party. But that's about all I can think of.

Imo, the only way Trump might lose is if he runs against Bernie. Biden is too white, too Christian, too male & too moderate to win. Biden also has a scandal going on with his son & Ukraine. He also likes to touch women & young girls inappropriately, which is a no no with feminine male Democrats & masculine female Democrats.

Being a democrat.

That's kind of my main point... The Best chance the Dems have of winning is Beto, who has a very little chance himself.

Trump will win 2020 in my opinion.

Beto has the best shot to maybe take Texas, and Biden has the second best shot to appeal to more moderate voters, but you're right, neither has a really good shot regardless.

Admittedly, I chose to vote for Trump in 2016 after the VP debates. Pence did so much better than Hillary's lapdog choice. Pence spoke his mind, even when he disagreed with Trump. Character and integrity that stability that Trump needed.

Trump did surprise me these past few years and even Pence has surprised me. Neither one has changed their stance on what they had promised their voters. They still are working well together to fix America nationally and globally. They have each others back.

I believe Trump is going to keep Pence as VP. They make a balanced team. Trump will want to get full two terms in and be able to rub it in the elite noses for many years to come. He will have to be physically dragged out of the white house if he wins in 2020. No resignation.

My fears will be greatest come 2024 to be honest.

Privately, Trump allies have warned that Biden might be the biggest re-election threat given the former vice president’s potential appeal among the white working class in the Midwest, the region that gave Trump a path to the presidency.

Let's add some more:
Biden voted with the NRA - cha ching - more middle Republican votes
Biden is from Pennslyvania - pretty sure he'll get that state
Wisconsin already voted Dems in, I live here and I think they would vote Biden over Trump this time

I actually think that President Trump just helped Biden with his latest tweet! He in a weird way uplifted him above other candidates in not so many words
thehill.com...

Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe. I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty - you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas. But if you make it, I will see you at the Starting Gate!

I voted for Trump because I disliked him less than Hillary.

But I see more status quo than needed change.

Trump will not win 2020

You better hope he does.

If not your going to get your firearms taken away(FACT).

We're gonna get medicare for all shoved down our effing throats.

We're gonna be on the hook for free education.

And you will be paying more in taxes across the board.

This one bugs me.

We're more complacent with having millions on welfare than making education accessible and having more people contributing to our country.

Investment, not a burden.

If we could get people through 2 years of community college, and make state funded universities charge for a good education and not the "number one voted campus in the country", we could get people through it for less than 25,000. They will easily pay that back in taxes through their life time... So it wouldn't be free.

I didn't go through k-12 for free, because I pay taxes for the kids in there now.

The Democrat party is too fractured and has too many interest groups it needs to appease to win a national election. Biden is exactly what they seem to be moving away from, he isn't going to move the needle except in moderate Democrats. Sanders has potential but even that socialist moniker is going turn off some Democrat voters. LOL and we dont even know who the DNC will actually anoint but highly doubt its either or these two. Id imagine it will take a woman at least to motivate their voting base enough, but so far looks like none of them has the chops to pull off a nationwide election. Trump really just has to avoid doing something stupid or getting slammed by something unforeseen, and yea find a better running mate than Pence this go around.

That's my thinking as well. The GOP knows he isn't electable with his current poll numbers and I doubt they will improve.
