Thank you. I’ve been getting busted over the operating budget but we all know Congress is opposed to getting anything done and to Masonicus yes Congress did cut it from what Obama admin proposed.

Anyways i share this interpretation of the Anthem i love ever since i heard it the first time, probably like 10 years after it happened lol but that doesn't matter. Don't know if you like it or not but here it is, because i like it and so be cool friend. I know why you do what you do...

There is a secret war going on down there and it's escalating fast. Now woman are using children to get across the border as a human shield and makes you wonder if those women are the actual mother. Assume nothing and expect everything. Trafficking children is happening. Drug smuggling is happening. Drug smugglers are now being ambushed by US drug cartels and taking their drugs and killing one another out in the bush. You won't hear about that on the news. That's something you don't want to get in the middle of. Especially at night no telling friend from foe. The law enforcement and military can't simply stop them as people are now being escorted with armed men. So the government has a choice engage or watch it go down. Unless of course there is a secret military ops to ambush the escort. It wouldn't surprise me one bit. The hard truth of it is that they are armed which makes them already a combatant in my opinion. They are basically holding us hostage at gunpoint and forcing upon us to accept what they are doing. No different than them holding you up in a store while they rob you blind.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you there are numerous groups like this down on the border, right? This UCP group is just one of them, and one bent on gaining media attention. JBurns didn't say he was joining up with that specific group. And by the way, they seem to have disbanded now anyway. I'll let JBurns speak for himself, but if you read the whole thread you cited (I did) you would have seen this part...

In any case, I think there's something more important being borne out in this thread, and this is the clear divide between those willing to stand up and do something for themselves and those waiting for the nanny-state to look out for them. Call it the divide between left and right if you will. And, I think this is being pretty well evidenced here.

You say I should speak with my "vote", and believe me, I have! Yet nothing is being done, and thousands of illegals continue to pour across our southern border. Trump wanted to build a wall, and the democrats have resisted and obstructed him in every way possible. Will a simple wall end the illegal alien problem? Certainly not, but it does send a message, and an important message..."Authorized Personnel Only" (i.e. go through the proper immigration process and you are welcome, otherwise...NO TRESPASSING!).

So, what we see in this thread is those who hide behind the 'let the government handle it' mantra when in fact what they really want is an open border for illegals to enter the country. I'm not suggesting this is you in particular, but there are clearly some here who want that. And they are the most vitriolic of all about the subject. (they're also the ones repeatedly starring your and others posts on the matter too).

And a word about 'patriots'. Had it not been for the actions of "patriots", this nation would have never been formed! Had it not been for those willing to get up off their collective asses, and risk it all, the USA wouldn't exist. They got tired of sitting around talking about it, so they got up and DID something about it.

You say you have no issue with militia groups, but yet virtually everything you've posted on this thread calls them out as extremists and to use your words "depraved". You taken issue with the notion of patriotism by saying you object to them taking on an enforcement role. So what role should a patriot have if not to stand up and take action for something they believe in?? Isn't this what patriotism is at its very heart? Incidentally, you've also made the leap of calling them a militia group when they don't even call themselves that. The media does, and the all knowing Wikipedia does, but they don't. So who really is influencing your views...you, or the MSM?

What you are suggesting is civilians (in boats?) looking for boats carrying people they believe are attempting to enter the country illegally, detaining them (by boarding their boats? That is what you implied) and alerting the authorities. That is vigilantism, not making a citizens arrest through happening to be in a situation when the crime takes place.

Again, show me a link to these vigilante groups you speak of that are roaming around looking for people to detain.

I never said that the GOP wasn’t part of the Deep State. You were going on about how the budget wasn’t even passed yet. You must have been talking about 2020. In any case we know that Democrats were going along with the Obama admin before Trump was Prez... and now they won’t fund the wall. I even found an article where Obama admin was having to deal with the large numbers of people crossing.... and yet.... Obama invited them personally to come... shall I look for the quote or are you unwilling to look at that our former POTUS openly inviting people to cone in illegally. No, I wasn't talking about 2020, I was talking about the last 3 years. Congress hasn't passed a budget since 2015. Who was in control of the House and Senate in 2016, 2017 and 2018? If you want to have a discussion about this at least learn then facts.
