I don't think it took his whole term in office. But I wasn't there.

Ok I looked it up:

There was a break-in by five men at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D.C.on June 17, 1972

Nixon resigned the presidency on August 9, 1974,

So two years from the initial crime to when he resigned.

With Trump clocking at almost 3 years and we aren't even in agreement on what is and is not a crime relating to this case, I think it's a little long in the tooth to be fantasizing about a storm gathering.

Helsinki was not evidence of collusion

Maybe not, but it sure proved that Trump is compromised as hell.

The Mueller investigation started in May of 2017. Is it May 2019 yet? No? So, not even 2 years yet.

Nixon was on his 2nd term, by the way, so clocked in at 6 years, and wallah, impeachment!

Nixon had two years from "start of crimes" to his resignation.

Trump is being investigated for crimes that alleged started in the 2016 election cycle.

Added:
The crimes did not occur in his first term; it is irrelevant that he served 6 years

Just LOL.

I am amazed at the lengths some Trump supporters will go to defend him!

The president engaged in... conduct involving public attacks on the investigation, non-public efforts to control it, and efforts in both private and public to encourage witnesses not cooperate with the investigation

This statement has not appeared anywhere in the Mueller report. So a question, why the lies?

Cheers - Dave

The logic throughout some of this thread is just terrible.

Some people appear to be having a hard time distinguishing between words and action.

One is simply words, the other is an actual action which would result in obstruction.

The case was never obstructed. Mueller finished his "Report" and Trump never took any action to physically obstruct the case. He whined a lot, called it a Witch Hunt 1000x, but these things are not physical actions which could have resulted in obstruction.

If you set out to do something, and you actually do it, it doesn't matter if your eight year-old complains and whines the entire time about it, and tells his six year-old sister they should not do it. If they still do it, they didn't obstruct. They didn't even attempt to obstruct. They DISCUSSED potentially obstructing doing whatever it was and whined. None prevented the actual "it" from being done.

Words are not the same as Actions. I find it alarming some adults need this spelled out in a crystal clear way.

Trump is exactly who EVERY sane American thought he was. After reading key sections of the report it's obvious what happened and Barr kinda didn't explain it well. Trump indirectly threatened the investigation as a child threatens to runaway, but then does nothing and pouts in his room. And while Mueller, being the guy he is, did think he could give Trump crap for it, he also realized there WAS NO UNDERLYING CRIME TO OBSTRUCT, and concluded Trump was just as we know he is to be. Our president may be a jackarse, but he's undeniably clear.

Here's what happens to you, if you're a Democrat who actually uses your brain and wisdom.

Steny Hoyer blasted for not wanting Trump impeached: twitter.com...

Nancy Pelosi feels the same as Congressman Hoyer. What will the low-IQ radicals do to her now???

Americans care the most about things that affect them personally. On that measure, President Trump is doing a very good job.

Ummmm...what the actual F# was he trying to do with that remote???????

Change the TV station and morph into another "dimension". By inserting it he would be inserting himself into another "life" escaping this one.

Life imitates a movie OR movies imitate life.........

I find that discipline of the mind leads to healthy outcomes

We didn't elect Hillary. Are you saying that Hillary set the standard for Trump's behavior, and now we have to live with it because we didn't elect Hillary?

Whataboutism deflect much?

Unlike in that situation, there is no proof trump had corrupt intent in any of his actions, nor did any of his actions impede the investigation.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Wel, this is Mueller's opinion of the evidence. You uncomprehendingly quoted it:

we did not draw ultimate conclusions about the President 's conduct. These evidence we obtained about the President's actions and intent presents difficult issues that would need to be resolved if we were making a traditional prosecutorial judgment.

They don't have enough evidence of action or intent to even reach a firm conclusion. We don't jump from "unresolved issues of action and intent" to "reccommendation of charges/impeachment" in this country . It's not how our legal system works.
