White House and Justice Dept. Officials Discussed Mueller Report Before Release

according to people with knowledge of the discussions

DOJ plans to let some lawmakers view Mueller report 'without certain redactions'

The Department of Justice (DOJ) will allow some members of Congress to view a copy of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report “without certain redactions,” federal prosecutors said in a court filing Wednesday.

“Once the redacted version of the report has been released to the public, the Justice Department plans to make available for review by a limited number of Members of Congress and their staff a copy of the Special Counsel’s report without certain redactions, including removing the redaction of information related to the charges set forth in the indictment in this case,” prosecutors wrote in the filing.

Seems a bit useless to have a press conference at 9:30 AM when they've already told Congress they wont give them the report until between 11 and 12. They wont be having any of Mueller's people in attendance at the Press Conference. Obviously media members would have no clue what to ask about since they havent seen the report yet. Seems to be kind of useless to hold a press conference at that time. If you want it to be most effective you'd let people read then let them ask questions.

What i'd say they are doing is an obvious attempt to spin the narrative ahead of time, now that NYT has reported that the DOJ has been briefing the Trump Administration about the report, to give them time to help their rebuttal its blatantly obvious that there is going huge spin attempt early. It will probably be successful because spinning the news first is the biggest part of winning the war now. For me personally I dont care as long as it doesnt change the contents of the documents it wont change my opinion, but for the general populous it has an impact.

DEMOCRATS and the MSM are LIVID!!!

House Democrats exploded in anger Wednesday over Attorney General William Barr’s plans to roll out special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, accusing the Justice Department of trying to spin the report’s contents and protect President Donald Trump.

Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will hold a press conference at 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning to review the report, which will include redactions. The report will then be delivered to Congress between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., the department confirmed.

WELL PLAYED Mr. Barr and Mr. Rosenstein!

I suggest keeping the report secret until 11:59pm tomorrow. Or even better, change your mind and decide not to release it to anyone. That is 100% within your right to do!

Maybe by the time the holiday weekend is over, there will be a record number of Democrats and Media People in mental wards, E.R.'s, or who couldn't take the disappointment and "off'ed" themselves.

I think the report will show that Trump could have and probably should have been charged, but there was enough doubt about getting a conviction that they did not go forward. Something like the conclusion reached on Clinton and the Benghazi investigation. Guilty but will not pay the price.

This is an idiotic assumption.

If there was no Russian collusion - Mueller clearly said their was none - there can be no obstruction. There is nothing to obstruct.

I know you cannot accept that but why? It's because you cannot think logically when it comes to Trump.

I think the report will show that he should have been but DOJ policy prevented it.
I think it will show that impeachment proceedings should begin immediately. Like Mueller intended.

I think the report will show that he should have been but DOJ policy prevented it.

How ?
Because you thought ?
Sorry , you do not get to think up your own reality.
Well , you do , but you cannot transfer that reality to others

I think it will show that impeachment proceedings should begin immediately.

Why ?
If there had of been one single shred of evidence , do you not "think" it would already have happened ?

You have a lot of questions to ask yourself and some serious "thinking" is in order.

If you need facts , start with Nixon/Watergate

You "think"

Isn't "thinking" (AKA guessing) what got you all into this deep hole to begin with? That was rhetorical, of course it was.

In fact, Barr/Rosenstein specifically said the decision not to prosecute had nothing to do with the DOJ policy that a sitting POTUS can't be indicted. Your "thinking" is already blown completely out of the water, yet again.

Of course if you believe both Barr and Rosenstein should contort Mueller's work to the point of yet another bizarre conspiracy, surely you must also maintain the investigation itself is part of the conspiracy and that Mueller/Mueller's team would for some unknown reason not leak this information to congress.....................................................?

this is becoming a "a ha, we have a way to technically prevent the report from release or hide most of it"

the cult45 completely cover their ears and shut their eyes when they see all the gymnastics their hero must do in order to hide his sleeze.

Are you speaking into the mirror? Because just about each and every one of those statements apply to the left's 3+ year smear campaign against Trump. The only one that doesn't apply is replace cult45 with cultLeft and it's "her sleaze".

so, Russia did interfere?

They (along with numerous other countries) likely did indeed attempt to influence the elections. How many votes do you think they were responsible for influencing and how was that accomplished?

Another quick question, who was president during the 2016 elections and thus responsible for securing the integrity of said elections?

If there was any evidence of wrongdoing , the report would not have been put out there to anyone. The indictment would have came first
No matter cult45 or not.

To noone's surprise, this IMPORTANT fact was removed from News/Opinion articles, and TV News.. ASAP after it was learned. It didn't "fit" with attacking Attorney General Barr over "his" Mueller report redactions...

Barr said that Mueller "is assisting us in this process" of redacting certain material from the report.
March 29, 2019 - www.cnbc.com...

After screaming "Protect Rosenstein from Trump!" for almost a year, Democrats and MSM are not happy that Rod Rosenstein, the man who gave birth to the Mueller Investigation, also took part in the redactions.

FAKE NEWS (aka "traitors") have tried their best to give the impression that William Barr is 100% responsible for choosing what information in Mueller's report remains hidden. That simply isn't true...not at all.

So I'm a socialist and even I didn't believe in Russia-Gate... In fact, everyone was so busy looking for the woods(Russia Gate) they couldn't see the Trees(Facts). So here they are:

1. Democrats Declare, "No negotiations or close trade with a UK that is no longer in the EU"... Republican/Trump not sharing that same ethos.
2. The UK at the time had Skripal and Cambridge Analytica at the time an expert in US Cyber Security and social media consultants.

3. Hacked Clinton Emails, Pizza Gate etc. etc. Targeted social media adds/fear.

4. Trump wins.

5. Cambridge Analytica no longer exists

6. Skripal Poisoning (Loose End)

Russia Gate being a diversion.
