Hello, I'm Duke and I'm an ugly American.

I discovered ATS some time during the "W" administration. I think I was looking for info on Chechen mercenaries who were in Wyoming training to take us all to FEMA camps. Anyway, it's been a long time and I'm familiar with many of the regular posters, old and new.

I had been stalling on signing up do to not having, or wishing to have, any other social network account and I thought that procedure was temporary. Now I have something I want to share to ATS and can't. Someone will probably beat me to it by the time I'm allowed to post.
It's all good as long as we can talk about it.

I love bacon. My locale dent-can store just started selling packs of pre-fried bacon. It's pretty good and only 2.50 for 14 oz.
We have been eating a lot of it at my house lately and as soon as tomatoes are back in season..BLTs!

I actually did go to a wilderness camp for "ungovernable" youth. They missed the memo about smores but at least they didn't have stacks of countless UN coffins.
