Quito, Ecuador - - - Assange anger - - - shots fired on live stream (La Marin)

Just to let you know that there has been some massive protest against the president of Ecuador & his regime - during a live stream video of the protest from a Facebook user named Ebi Camacho less than five minutes ago, shots were heard to ring out, followed by some panic in the crowd & a protestor was heard talking about a bomb, seconds before the live stream went dead. Not saying there's been a bombing, but the protestors were numerous & highly angry at what is viewed to be a corrupt president & a puppet regime, and there were definitely shots fired. Will update if I hear more. My wife is Ecuadorean so she has been following developments very closely since the Assange incident, she & many felt it was a betrayal of the Ecuadorian national sovereignty to allow British police into the embassy to arrest Assange. People are seriously pissed off, and there may even be a coup brewing.

Just to add people are saying that her live stream was deliberately cut, we don't know for certain at this stage, but she's no longer streaming and had been cut off mid sentence. Possible signal jamming, etc.

Yeah there's been a dedicated protest movement growing against Moreno since day one, as the previous president was much beloved & did a lot of good for the people. He was forced into exile by Moreno, who promptly walked back loads of the beneficial programs of activity & legislation which that president, Rafael Correa, had implemented.

Laughable as it may seem, one of Moreno's first legislative acts on assuming power (in rigged elections, most believe) was to cast legislation which held that Correa would never again be allowed to become president of Ecuador, even if the people call for him to be allowed to stand!

Reminded me of the 'No Homers Club' in the Simpsons... Funny, if it wasn't so damn tragic.

This is a video from part of the main protest earlier today.. The former vice president under Correa was imprisoned on trumped up charges after Moreno came to power, and without a shred of evidence. My wife says "...because there is no justice in Ecuador" as a casual comment, because it is a well known fact. In the video below the police begin to attack the protestors, and it just goes on into the night basically.




Some of the protestors make it known that the march was peaceful, and that the police are totally corrupt. Again, that's a truism in Ecuador, because it was the police who tried to mount a coup against Rafael Correa around eight years ago, holding him hostage in a hospital trying to get him to sign over executive control. He spun for time, and got a message out to the army via a junior doctor - the army then came in force & liberated him, and the coup was routed. It was passionate, angry sentiment against the police in the wake of that incident, but Correa tried to appease them by improving pay & conditions. By the current understanding, that didn't work - the corruption was endemic, and it is being rolled against the people again. People are commenting in the video asking to share it around the world so that the world can see what corruption is doing to Ecuador.

It's nice to be in a position to do a little something to piss off the ones who turned over Assange, because however you slice it, that embassy extraction was unjust.

PS - Incidentally, the police had officers in among the crowd dressed as civilians, both as provocateurs & attacking protestors during the mellee as things got confused when the batons came down & the gas was lobbed. Normal tactical stuff I guess - but the people are getting more & more angry to see this sort of insidious crap rolled against completely peaceful protestors.

I am possibly (maybe even definitely) wrong, but in my mind the "A" team here in the states is trying to get him here before he is murdered there. England is certainly contained and owned by globalist types. Assange will have more safety here than he would in London.

According to many of the reports that are just starting, the country is being bombarded with millions of cyber attacks against any open computer in that country.

The most recent round of heavy protest was sparked by the discovery (announced by hackers in the last couple of days) that a bank account had been discovered under Lenin Moreno's daughters' names with $**,000,000 in it. And he's already been caught lavishing gifts upon his wife which are far in excess of what a demure & moral leader of a developing nation should be with a mind to possess, etc.

'Someone' seems to have shut down the Facebook page of Rafael Correa - which would suggest complicity from the spooks in certain places, possibly, if they deem that Correa shouldn't be allowed to speak in support of Ecuador, in support of Assange.

'RT en Espanol' reported a couple of days ago that hacker collective Anonymous issued a demand - that unless Assange is freed, they will [paraphrasing] cause pain to fall on the USA & UK. And they have hinted that they will 'test the strength of the internet' in some way in association with that threat, which could have something to do with the 40,000,000 cyber attacks announced by the Ecuadorian foreign minister earlier today, which were "volumetric" attacks, overloading servers (& presumably using the chaos as cover for more strategic hacks...)

At least one video covering these facts has been terminated, deleted from YouTube, in the time it took me to write this post! It's on, it would seem..

he appears to be a key in exposing all the corruption and like you i feel england appears to be playing on the globalist side but may be trying to get back in good with thr us for playing along with the spy games of a us potus.

I know the fire destroying Notre Dame took center stage, but it's been curiously quiet about Assange. It's like Lauri Laughlin is even more news than Assange. I expected world intrigue, at least a stock market wobble....

Perhaps they know that 'any press is good press' to coin the phrase...? They may say that 'feeding him with attention' in the wake of the embassy extraction will only enhance his cause. The tremulous sense of injustice people felt as he was taken from the embassy were the embers of disquiet; further media coverage would fan those embers into the flaming fires of righteous indignation at the dereliction of honour which the embassy extraction represents.

Hence media lockdown.

The douchebag puppet Moreno probably thought it was open season on embassy violations in the wake of the heinous Saudi incident. Is it another small step on the road to acclimatising us to gross injustice & authoritarianism?

The whole of South America is a numbers game, most of the poor would embrace a Socialist state simply because they would get more. The guys in charge know this and have to keep a pressure bandage on what could be a haemorrhage. The problem being that the CIA and the puppet governments they have installed might be getting to their use by date. This system depends upon how much money you have to keep your military in line and happy. How is all this being funded,? I doubt its by legal means because it would have to show up in Government budgets. Most of the drugs come into the States via the south, could it be that the only arrests and seizures are from any drug lord who operates without the sanction of the relevant security agencies? and since the States are now having a heroin death epidemic, it seems the drugs are still flooding in, without any conscience as people openly shoot up in San Fran. Clearly this state of affairs cant go on, perhaps Trump closing the border, would help but Opium is now the opiate of the masses .and corruption the real problem. Along with Billions of dollars having to be laundered which needs compliant Banks. Along with a well policed disciplined infra structure. I am glad its not my mess to clean up when your only labour force is ex junkies with bad health problems.

QUITO (Reuters) - Ecuador has reached a $4.2 billion staff-level financing deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), President Lenin Moreno said on Wednesday, as the Andean country grapples with a large fiscal deficit and heavy external debt.

The country will also receive $6 billion in loans from multilateral institutions including the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the CAF Andean development bank, Moreno said in a message broadcast on national television and radio. www.reuters.com...

Moreno claimed the money would be used for job creation in Ecuador yet he has now implemented austerity measures across the country.

I don't for one moment suppose the promise of $10b+ had anything to do with why Moreno, in breach of international law, allowed British police onto Ecuadorian soil (the consulate) to arrest some bloke who never did anything against Ecuador?

WikiLeaks subsequently shared Correa’s tweet and noted that this seemingly unusual reevaluation of Assange’s asylum was directly related to the Moreno administration’s efforts to secure a loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a total of $10 billion. Per WikiLeaks, some of the conditions set for Ecuador’s receipt of the IMF loan included U.S. government demands of “handing over Assange and dropping environmental claims against Chevron” for the oil giant’s role in polluting Ecuador’s rainforest and poisoning many of its indigenous inhabitants.

Furthermore, there are indications that Moreno’s government is preparing to drop charges against Chevron — one of the two U.S. government demands made to Ecuador in exchange for the IMF deal, with the other being Assange’s extradition. According to a report published on Wednesday by UPI, Moreno’s government is moving forward with a clean-up of the area that Chevron polluted. As UPI noted:

After 26 years of legal actions in Ecuador, the United States, Canada and Europe that failed to result in any significant cleanup effort of areas affected by crude oil spills, Ecuadorian authorities will start to clean up polluted areas to try to stop the damage.”
