It's over 9,000!

Some of you might have seen that I had a birthday recently ^_^

I'm just sipping some of the cheapest brandy known to Buddhakind and jammin' some Billy Joel.

My birthday present to myself was getting the complete studio collection of Mr. Piano Man. I never realized how many radio treasures of my youth came from Billy Joel. Man that radio clock soothed me many-a-night.

Roller coaster goes up and down, but the music is your only friend in the end.

Some text for your reading pleasure.

Or jump on the funk train

Thanks for sharing the song as it really brings some childhood memories back of having to deal with at the time my parents music choice. At the time I thought it was crap but now I absolutely love it.

BTW if your running low I got ya dude!

That should do the trick

Your doing it wrong Mate

Go watch Marine Boy ... or He-Man ... or even some Bugs.

Cartoons will send you right back to your kid self.

Remember to come back after the trip.

Don't go yelling "By The Power Of Grey Skull" in the supermarket, although I have always wondered what would happen.

I still have that same clock radio that I've had for almost 20 years now

When it stops working, I'm not sure how I'll be able to wake up anymore

Remember when Kimba The White Lion convinced the carnivores to go vegetarian.

I laughed myself silly. Even my kid self knew that was just so much crap!

Programming by cartoons. I noticed quite a bit as a kid but didn't understand the why.

I do now.

Wonderful, when I used to say this to my kids all I got was a blank look. And I even smiled eyes wide open. I know why, Just couldn't help myself.

Cheers

Bally, sniff, brought a tear to my eye.

Yeah Pheonix I do actually remember that and a lot of other episodes. Funny thing is that the first episode came on prime time. Mum made me watch it on the black and white'

I do remember bugs bunny show at prime time too and after the obligatory Sunday night roast cooked by mum and carved by dad sitting in front of that small TV watching Disneyland followed by Bonanza! Rifleman was another favourite. Then off to bed.

At one time 'COMBAT' starring none other than Vic Morrow was a fav followed by buying the stick gum with the combat pics. Later swapping them. (4 Vic Morrows for a Tiger Tank) etc.

My God NB real nostalgia brought up.

Kind regards,

bally

Happy Birthday joker!
I haven't heard that song in years. I love that whistling and slow piano up front. I kind of wish he had kept it on that tempo and feel but its all good.

Billy Joel on the Stern Show was one of the most impressive musical displays I've heard, I forgot how many hits he wrote.
