The indictment does not include espionage charges, despite authorities continuing to treat her case as a national-security matter, sources familiar with the investigation said. Zhang’s case is part of a broader counterintelligence investigation into potential Chinese espionage targeting Trump.

Zhang came to the Palm Beach club around noon on March 30 carrying a malware-infected thumb drive and other electronic devices, according to the Secret Service.

Mar-a-Lago intruder told feds she came for an event. She knew it was canceled, source says

What was she gonna do with all that malware if not use it to spy. Do you think we got her to spill the beans for lesser charges? I wonder if they used enhanced interrogation on her, like Chinese water torture maybe? Her arraignment/detention hearing is Monday in West Palm Beach.

One cannot be charged with a crime they had not yet committed
They can only be charged with criminal conspiracy to commit a crime
And that takes a lot of proof
Question answered.

She was so clumsy and obvious, she was just the diversion...but for what..that's the question.

That's what my little mind is going with.

Obvious diversion is... obvious?

So what really happened?

Because this is the worst screenplay ever.

That is true, but entering a restricted area with spy tools is attempted espionage. Why not charge her with that.

Good point, makes me wonder what got past security at Mar-a-Lago that day while everyone was focused on her.

It's possible that these are only the initial charges. Different ones can always be added but these are the ones they know they have some kind of evidence for. This gets the bargaining going between prosecutors and defense attorneys.

She found a way to outsmart the thought police !!!! 😆

And the lady who killed Kim Jong-Un's brother was released from prison today. Maybe they're all going to band together and take over the world...led by Ocasio Cortez and Ilhan Omar.

While this is purely conjecture, I’ve wondered more than once if she was an obvious plant just to spin more bad press for Trump. When you stop and think about it, would he really have much of value there [Mar-a-Lago]? Would the SS allow it? What they could have possibly gained of value using the devices we’re informed she had on her? Other than guest lists member info, addresses, employee info? Is there anything they wouldn’t more easily access by remote hack? This is an alleged Chinese operative we are discussing; the very China who has been remote hacking us for quite some time. But it gave Trump more bad press. There are things about this that don’t sit right with me.

That is something the CIA is aware of and thank goodness the news isn't letting that out of the bag.

Wait a while till your government approves the rolling out of 5G, 6G or whatever it's called. Being as the worlds leading player to provide it is Chinese you'll soon have everyone unwittingly spying.
