I'm on board. having a few random sentient species would be interesting. Imagine a smart monkey clan developing their own culture (outside of pop reference fear hollywood shows).

Then you may have peasants with pitchforks and flaming torches burning down universities and dragging degree holders out of their beds in the dead of night.

Like a lot of those girls have butt ugly dads, yet they manage to look exactly like their model/hooker mum.
