I've no doubt that is what you learned from this OP. Others, perhaps not.

A lie is a lie. But not all lies are equal. To dismiss the actual content of the lie and focus purely on the yes/no status of whether a statement is a lie or not is disingenuous, or if you prefer, a lie.

Trump says, "It was the biggest crowd ever." Obama says, "Health care costs will go down, you can keep your own doctor if you want to." Knowing full well that was not going to be the case, and history proves this to be so.

Did Trump lie? Did he mean it was the biggest crowd ever assembled anywhere at any time in history? Did he mean the biggest inaugural crowd ever? Did he mean the biggest crowd he personally ever drew? And finally, does it really matter since it is a statement of little consequence to anyone other than nitpickers and malcontents?

Did obama lie? We know now that he did. We know his intent was to convince the masses that his signature legacy piece of garbage was a good thing for this nation. He destroyed an already weak and failing healthcare system with a poorly crafted piece of drivel no one was allowed to examine until after it was signed. It hurt many people and still does to this day.

Can you say those two lies are equal? Simply saying both sides lie is meaningless. Its like saying someone who shoplifts is no better or worse than a murderer because in the most basic analysis they are both criminals.

We need to start putting some sense and reason in to these discussions. This kind of needling nitpicking nonsense serves no one.

So what have we learned OP?

Trump lies are ok because other people lied - because thats what politicians do.

Trump lies like those other politicians - so hes like those other politicians, but we voted for him because he wasnt a politician. In addition, I dont listen to the other political party becuase they lie. I dont believe what they says because they lie, and anyone who says Trump lies is a liar, because Trump doesnt "really" lie.

Read that # out loud and your brain segfaults.

Trump lies like all humans.

Even worse, his political opponents like to call things a "lie" when they aren't, thus muddying up the picture.

The reality: if you think anyone who wants the power of the Oval Office is a "good person" you are naive and bound to be let down one day.

Yup, thats why its extra funny to see someone proclaim Trump doesnt lie, while at the same time saying the other political party does, and you shouldn't trust them.

Lets not pretend the media slants are something that started with Trump.

Ok with his lies? Yet the only one presented was about his father being born in Germany (which I had not heard before today from this thread so what is to say it is not made up by some demon rat on here.

So lets talk lies.. again...

Trump's father was born in 1905, his mother and father were also citizens of Kingdom of Bavaria (Germany).

Here is a little history.

Despite living in a German neighborhood, Elizabeth was homesick and the family returned to Kallstadt in 1904, selling their assets in America.

Because the Bavarian authorities suspected that he had left Germany in order to avoid the service in the Imperial Army, Frederick could not remain in Germany, so the family returned to the United States in 1905.

So Trump's parents went back to Germany to live in 1904, selling everything... Then they were forced to come back to America in 1905 just before Trump's dad was born also in 1905.

Of course Google this and it is just massive hits of "Trump lied again" without even the thought that just maybe he had believed all these years his day was actually born in Germany. The funny part is we are talking 1905, so in all reality he could have been born in Germany and shorty arrived in America to have paperwork done here as if he was born here instead. Who knows... Who really cares...

"From his Father's birthplace to his slot machines in Atlantic City"

What in the Sam H-E-double hocky sticks does that have to do with anything

The election claims? It was rigged! You think some social media trolls can swing an election but not some hoax investigation about Russia with MSM/democrat politicians parroting the debunked rumors 24/7 doesn't? That is rigging if I have ever seen it.

"And they say the noise causes cancer" - Wind turbines are a waste of time. Great when the wind is blowing, not so much otherwise. There isn't enough space in our country for enough turbines to power everything that we want to power. Nuclear power on the other hand I do agree with using Nuclear in place of many other types. It is an inexhaustible fuel supply when the fuel cycles are done right. Regardless I doubt they cause cancer, but he isn't claiming they do... merely repeating someone else's claim

"What you're seeing and what you're reading is NOT what's happening" - that isn't a lie either. He was talking about CNN/MSNBC and their proclivity to push lies and host those who parade their debunked opinions around like they are facts. Case in point is the army of Russiahoaxers who were paraded on MSM 24/7, pushing a totally debunked disproven sour grapes hoax about Russia, Russia, Russia 24/7/365

I didn't see one thing in there that is definitively a lie, and out of those "possible" areas not one is related to saving this country and pulling it back from the brink of socialism.

He's a businessman. His goal is to win for America and win for its shareholders (the Citizens and legal residents). Thing is, you all push BS numbers (9000 lies!) nonstop to fit your narrative. Take gun crimes. When you include accidents and suicides and gang murders in the same numbers as mass shootings, murder, etc you can't expect anyone to take you seriously

Funny, because isn't Trump good buddies with Jeffrey Epstein? In this article written in 2003 he sure comes off that way-

"I've known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,'' Trump booms from a speakerphone. "He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it -- Jeffrey enjoys his social life."

nymag.com...

There are things about Trump I certainly support and am very stoked that he accomplished what he has so far (who wouldn't be happy about a strengthening economy and added jobs?!) but I can't think of any reason to see him any differently than any other politician, he's just the most non-P.C. version of one there is (which I get a kick out of). So in regards to the OP, I don't see his lying any differently than anyone else. That doesn't condone it, but I don't exactly condone the behavior and BS of any other politician either. They're all full of sh!t.

I mean, turbine noise causing cancer? Come on.
I'd love for just one person to post a legit piece, proving that's even close to true. (No, "well if you think about it..." doesn't count)

Already did post it. EMF waves that are created with Wind Turbines. The 'noise' as he put it. Wind power is great but there are some serious downsides. It has been linked to Leukemia and other things especially in kids.

Solar to me is the cleanest. We are 50 years away from 'limited' fossil fuel use. They will always be there.

What Trump did NOT lie about is leading us to be energy independent.

Then again, Clinton was a horrific prospect, so the only alternative was an extra from 'Goodfellas'.

As an entrepreneur and businessman for over 30 years, made and lost fortunes, I love the American free enterprise system and Capitalism and it will remain that way.

Your dog whistle "on the brink of socialism" is just stupid; And with that, you have no credibility!

www.ncceh.ca...

That was the most I could find that corroborates any of that and it doesn't seem all that sure of itself. I don't disagree with you regarding solar power but I certainly don't agree with putting more money into nuclear power (if that wasn't you the suggested keeping nuclear power, my apologies).

I'm all for independence as long as it's not putting the country and it's resources at risk.

I know this website is full of trump supporters. You get your multiple daily snip on dems and can go woot woot go team, get your stars and flags....

but do any of you trump supporters worry about what the president is saying? Do you have your head so far up his his ass that you let him get away with his lies?

Whether or not any of his policies have helped or hurt our country, I want to know, do you trump supporters find it OK that he lies about everything?

He does not lie about "everything" or even a lot of things.

Just by the way you are writing this tells me you have read a bunch of media reports about how much he lies. Every time I have looked at those lists 3/4 of the things they call lies are not actually lies - They just choose to interpret his statement in a way that they can call a lie. In other words he leaves something vague and they read his mind as to what he was actually thinking with no proof whatsoever.

Sure he lies some - quite frankly he would suck as the president if he did not - there are many things you have to lie about for foreign policy reasons etc.

It would be useful to lay them out and how they are lies so we can have a discussion about them.

yeah that would be nice wouldnt it...OK... His Father was born in Germany.... Lets start with that ok? there is thousands we can go through, but ok

Context for those that arent in the know. Did he claim his father was born in Germany? Do you have quote? See, you cannot just say something without bringing in the context.

He said it quickly in passing, of course he meant his grandfather.

Why in the hell would people assume this is a legit lie - how in any way would that lie help Trump when everyone knows it is incorrect.

This clearly shows people bias to assume it is a lie instead of a mistake. Because they see Trump as having evil intentions - it is their own bias corrupting their view of reality.

Trump being uninformed about a subject or badly informed does not make him a liar. It makes him badly informed and repeating incorrect information. If this is how you want to classify a liar, AOC is the biggest liar in all of human history by that criteria.

Solar is not the cleanest.

4th Gen nuclear is by far the least polluting and safest - because there is zero meltdown risk, and it is by far the most efficient in terms of resources used for amount of power produced.

Isn't IVth generation nuclear still in design phase with very, very few actually running to research anything. If I remember right, they aren't anywhere close to commercial development.

And solar has zero harmful byproducts, even 4th Gen still produces waste, it's just not AS radioactive of the stuff they're putting out now.

I find it odd that so many trump supporters will tolerate his lies, but would divorce their wives or husbands for that same type of lying.

What kind of world do you live in? I have been married 31 years and going strong. Do you really think there haven't been lies, especially little white lies, on both sides of the marriage in 31 freakin' years?

Hoss, you need to get a life.

And his rally supporters cheer his lies; not the country I grew up in where "character" actually meant something....

Character does mean something... it means everything. That's why Donald Trump is President! If you think for one split New York second that Hillary Clinton had better character than Trump, you are seriously delusional and should seek professional help!

Barack Obama had less character than a bum in a street gutter... Li'l George Bush had no claim to high moral character... "Slick Willy" Clinton certainly did not!... Neither did Big George Bush. Even Reagan had character flaws. Carter was maybe the most moral President we have had in my memory, and he was a lousy President!

Again, get a life, and while you're there, get a clue.

"Everything" is such a blanket statement. Do you care to elaborate on specifics? Btw i'm not a trump support nor a trump hater. Genuinely curious why you have so much hate and trying to figure out what lies triggered you so much.

Conservatives take Trump seriously, but dont take him literally,
Liberals take Trump literally, but dont take him seriously.
