The low-IQ media says, "Trump lies!".

And 5 minutes later they whine...

"Trump just said he will close the border!"

Do they now believe the man they called a serial liar?

All presidents are liars.
At least this one turns it into a drinking game.

I think maybe 50 people are on ATS today?

Someone needs to start a thread on...

President Trump announced Sunday afternoon that Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen "will be leaving her position" after 16 months in the job.

Trump also announced that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Kevin McAleenan will replace Nielsen, tweeting: "I have confidence that Kevin will do a great job!"
www.foxnews.com...

Homeland Security has to be a hellish job with millions of immigrants attempting to get in, and Congress not giving you resources to address the problems. Poor Kevin!

I like all the replies that justify his lying because'' all politicians lie''. When you mentioned the lying about his fathers birth place you go nowhere, as least from what I read.

The thing about that lie was it was interesting to watch it play out. It wasn't a big whopper but rather just a small ''fib'' or ''white lie'', one that just rolls off the tongue like saliva.
He was saying he liked Merkel. That wasn't enough so he built on it and said how much he liked Germany as well. Now, whether or not he likes either Merkel or Germany is beside the point here because he was just bantering, trying to look and sound like a nice guy, a friendly guy, which I'm pretty sure in his own mind he either thinks or wishes he were.

At that point though, he could not stop, he had to keep on going in demonstrating just how much affinity he has with the German people. He said his father was German, and then, you could see it in his eyes, as he paused, looking for something more to add to his personal German pedigree. He was summoning up his ''fondness'' mode and actually looked like he was reminiscing over his family history when he said that his father was born in a German town, which of course his father was not.

Small thing that many attribute to '' just an error' a gaff. A miss-remembrance, which of course it might have been, though this was not the first time he had made that same error. But the thing is is that being such a small thing it is the perfect example of just how much he does lie.

Truth to Trump is an amorphous thing, a tool to be used to his own benefit. Just so long as not one calls him out on it, it will be ok with him. I suppose this comes from being such a rich guy surrounded by a bunch of people looking to make their own buck by being part of his deals. Yes sir, no sir, Indeed Mr. Trump sir, what ever you say sir.

Knowing what a liar he is it is difficult for me to not think of this ole Jon Lovitz charactor.

But that's ok though right? I mean all politicians lie, and a politician said that.

Apparently we just accept the lies - cause thats just what they do.

Wow, sounds to me like you put a whole lotta thought into something with zero impact on yours or my life....Maybe that is why the Left totally misses all the big things....YOu know....like when the president lied right to our faces countless times about his health care policy. How he promised to our faces that we could keep our doctors. And that we would save 2600 yr. if it passes...Or that it wasn't a tax....

But yah, Trump said something about where is Dad was born that I don't care enough to look into in the first place.

That’s funny.
When Obama was in office and I pointed out his lie about ‘if you want to keep your doctor...’, I had the same line thrown at me by Democrats on this site.
Did you like those replies then?

I care far less about his occasional lies compared to the lies of those trying to destroy the country. I'm far more worried about the attempts to impose socialism, marginalize our lawful Republic or outright subvert the Constitution. The entire "progressive" agenda is unacceptable and a non-starter and its only goal is to FORCE changes on us that we DO. NOT. WANT. I reject progressives and everything they stand for (or kneel for, one requires a back-bone to stand......)

If he has to lie to win, then I'd rather him lie. This is too important to lose. IMO, any means necessary are justified to WIN FOR AMERICA

So Democrats not caring about lies made you not care about lies?

So you're right there along with Democrats not caring about politicians lying to ya?

So, you're the same as a Democrat?

What about the times that Obama called his wife, Michael? Or when he said he was Muslim and had to be corrected by the interviewer about him being Christian?

Was he also suffering from Dementia? I'm sure you are a licensed and certified doctor and able to diagnose these things from sound bites.

See? That's it.

All of you who are so insensed about what Trump says that isn't accurate don't care about the stupid crap democrats say. So why should I care?

People say stupid crap all the time from politicians to actors to athletes to pundits to people here on this forum.

Are you claiming that every single thing you've said is 100% accurate and without flaw? I know I've made mistakes. I made one today. I assumed the Angry White Male Class was being taught by a feminist professor because it's being offered through the Gender Studies Dept, but upon doing some looking ... it is being taught by a male. Of course, he might be a feminist. Men do call themselves that these days to claim ally status, but still, I thought it would likely be a woman, and I was wrong.

I simply have better things to do than to take every single thing the president Tweets as literal unlike most here.

Why the bickering? Democrats have little power and are losing minds. Let them self-destruct in their own little box. Safe to ignore...totally.

His father's birth place was a small example, about the only one that was brought up earlier in the thread. I spoke to that lie, if indeed lie it was. It might have been that he has rewritten his own heritage for himself so that it will sound better in his own ears. Either way it is a telling example of this mans exaggerations.

As to it having zero impact on you and me, well, I guess that all depends don't it? Zero impact if Trump was just another guy on a corner babbling forth on world affairs. But he is not. His babbling has caught up half of the country and that is very impactfull on all of us.

There are those of us who see in him an pathological liar, possibly brought on by his business dealings over a life time and his desire to not displease a domineering father, I don't know. And while it is clear to so many of us that he is a practiced liar, it's apparently not important to you and others who like to ignore the vast number of things he says that are untrue.

And as far as referring back to Obama as you did, this thread or discussion is not about a past president but rather about the current Potus and the lies he is telling.

Whoa, lets not try and change what's been said - there's a major difference between not caring what someone says and being complicit to being lied to by elected representatives.

This "HURR DEMOCRATS DO IT SO IMA DO IT TOO" is extremely hilarious to watch - you complain about Democrats and become just like them in some silly attempt to be spiteful and the irony is missed.

Yup, the daily dose of what AOC said - or anyone that doesn't hail the fuhrer. People say dumb # all the time, but again, lets not steer the conversation in another direction - I asked if you were ok with ALL politicians or just Trump.

I made zero claims, I asked a question.

You and others, a vast multitude of others, continuously point out that falsehood about doctors. But this is not about a past president and his lies but rather about the current president and his lies.
Do you notice how you seemingly automatically assume that because Obama said it it was ok with me, or that I even defend the Democrat Party?

I have given examples of lies that I care about (Obama) and lies that I don't care about....

Thus far, I haven't been provided with a "lie" from Trump that I care about. But you go right ahead and analyze every single sentence the man utters if that makes you feel good.
