Yes, snide, misleading and over dramatic emotion-driven responses are going to be a sure winner in 2020

Face it the blue wave was a fizzle and we made heads spin by actually gaining seats in the Senate.

The Storm is brewing and will come crashing on the shore come Nov. 2020

Here's a Trump lie. He says he's republican and pro life. In the past he said he's pro choice and identifies more with democrats and that the economy does better under democrats. Funny how he changed his tune and became a complete shill for the far right religious fundamentalists.

I was a leftist liberal a few years ago.

It's ok to level up and become more intelligent and tolerant to others. You don't have to STAY a leftist, you know.

You know you don't have to STAY a rightist right? You can always grow a sense of logic and compassion for others instead of supporting the party that only cares about the super wealthy, hates immigrants, panders to white nationalists, supports religious fundamentalists, and generally is against programs that help the less fortunate, and against science and education in favor of bible study classes.

You don't have to be a brainwashed shill that blindly believes everything Trump says, just because he calls himself republican. Be careful, though, helping the environment is evil and windmills cause cancer. Lets appoint climate change deniers and big oil tycoons to run the EPA. That's smart. Let's promote discrimination against everyone except white Christians. Let's shut down the entire government and put people in debt over our own egos and bully anybody that doesn't agree. It's that rightist mentality.

Your just playing the "I know you are but what am I" game we used to play in kindergarten

That's the maturity level of leftists today. More than that though, they have become what can only be described as evil. You murder babies and call it your personal choice, you try and destroy anyones career that voices an arguement against what leftist believe is the only thing that can believed. You want to force people that work hard to give what they have to people that dont.

I am a right wing but there are many levels of right wing that all get along and none of them are definition of white nationalist that you and the left have labeled them as and scream at the top of your lungs that that is what they have to be if they dont believe what you believe.

You are evil.

you just quoted every trump supporter on this site without knowing it.

Honestly that is pretty is funny... you just acted in a condescending way what you and every trump supporter on this site does...

Oh, I knew it. It's just a tad frustrating that you don't seem to be able to accept that maybe, just possibly, you're wrong... even when so many people are telling you that you're wrong. Normally, someone would take a moment to step back and wonder, "if everyone is saying I'm wrong, maybe I'm wrong"... but you don't seem to be able to do that.

You took an unsubstantiated rumor ("Trump lies about everything") and formulated a question based solely on that rumor... there can be no yes or no answer without agreeing to the rumor it is based on. It's another example of the old "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" gotcha question... and everyone sees it. Heck, you couldn't even give a decent example of a harmful lie... but you can certainly brush aside the Obama lie that harmed so many Americans (including me!).

Go ahead and act indignant... no one believes the act anyway. You outed yourself (again!) with this thread, and once yet again with this response. You either don't know what a "lie" is, or you are playing like it to get a response. I suspect the latter.

Please don't prove me wrong.

you are right...The fact that our president does not have the moral character to not lie is no big deal.... Go lie to your boss....you arenot the president... lie to your wife... lie to your friends....

You are now a liar

I asked you nicely to not prove me wrong in my assumption that you are putting on an act to stir the pot.

You just made an unsubstantiated claim that I should lie to people, and then claimed that allegation made me a liar? Really? Want to show me what lie I made in this thread?

Or are you intent on proving beyond any reasonable doubt that you don't even know what a lie is?

TR of course he won't be able to, it is a knee jerk reflex for them anymore. Anything they don't want to hear, they are conditions (in a true skinner's box fashion) to immediately assert "lie" or "liar", implode into a litany of "ism" "ist" and "phobia" ending words and ignore the content with a transparent dodge & pivot to talking points

We need to remember there is a silent majority of democrats that do not like the way their party is heading. They can talk all green progressive crap all day but that is not their majority. Because they will not change their direction Trump will win even the popular vote handily and I'm not saying this because he would be the best for the country, just better than the crap coming from the left and a chunk of voters will see that too.

Hahaha, this has to be a joke right? Because I believe trump is allowed to be an exaggerator, like he always has been, I think the constitution no longer applies?

I'll tell you what, you let me know where in the constitution it says the president can not and should not lie and I'll admit I'm being hypocritical. But if you can't, you get to admit that you're being ridiculous.

Need to remember only 28% voted Hillary, 27% voted Trump and 44% didn't vote... Hillary wasn't that too far left and only got 28%, think of the blue collar democratic worker that believes in america, works hard for their success etc...

tinner07, it is useless to confront Trump supporters on his lies. To my knowledge, no person has ever lied to the extent of Donald Trump as president and most likely nobody else ever will. At least I hope not; the bar is set really low now. The last count was around 10,000 instances in just over two years. That' one for Guinness. It's almost as if Donald has cast a spell over his base, much as Hitler and other popular authoritarians did over their supporters. The only thing that might explain it is that his base wants to believe. They are hurting. Much of his base are working class, and they (and me) have been utterly battered over the past four decades. They want relief. They want hope. Unfortunately, they tend to watch Fox News, Carlton Tucker, Sean Hannity, etc. who spew propaganda at a ferocious pace. Trump has perfected that art, right out of Joseph Goebbels playbook who helped shaped the political zeitgeist that millions fell for and went on to do horrible things that most would never normally have done yet did them anyway. The power of persuasion is strong, particularly when talking points are consistently repeated over and over again, messages that permeate society at every juncture. It would be easy to characterize Trump's base as dumb, ignorant, or whatever; but the truth is they are spellbound by propaganda. Maybe those who see through Trump's charade are simply those who never drank the kool-aid to begin with. Personally, I gave Donald benefit of the doubt when he entered office. I thought he was just saying whatever in order to be elected, you know, like most politicians do anyhow. But it did not take long for me to realize just how destructive his views thus actions truly are. Maybe I saw that so clearly because I don't watch Fox News or fill my mind with alt-right (or alt-left) propaganda, and generally base my thoughts of other people on their actions rather than just words. I also actually think about things, how they affect myself and other people. In the end, I agree with you that ATS seems to have turned into another Trump propaganda platform. So many of the threads are about bashing Democrats when they should be bashing the rich and powerful; they are the ones behind the misery and division in America. Until Trump's base gets that, there is no hope America can be great for their dissatisfaction will be misdirected. The same goes for all others who don't get it too; it is not just Trump's base that have fallen for the game. But millions have awakened to what is going on today so I am hopeful we will eventually come together and make America a good place for all.

It's useless when you can't provide said lies.

So I will ask you the same thing I asked them, on matters of policy, what lies has Trump said?

Like when Obama said he had no idea the bill was worded such and hated the wording of the NDAA, despite him being the one who worded it. Or like when Obama said prices would go down with the ACA despite in house documents showing he knew it would go up. Obama saying he was going to make reduced cost drugs a priority, and then he makes back room deals with Pharm companies promising them he will make sure it never happens if they support him.

So all people are asking for are similar things to that, matters of policy. Don't give us "his dad was conceived in Germany, and his family is German, but his dad was born 2 months after they got to America so Trump saying his family is from Germany and his dad was born there so he is a pants on fire liar when he says his family is from Germany".

he lied about where his father was born. just #uckin bizarre.

he lied about his bone spurs. what a puss.

he lied about windmills causing cancer. wtf.

SO many more..

Yes, how dare anyone question a liberal, we must all hear and obey. Trump exaggerates a lot, everything has to be the biggest and the best, it's a character flaw.

Trump got the military their biggest raise in 8 years, not 10, oh no!

Obama lied about wording dealing with indefinite detention of US citizens, that's ok, cuz Orange Man Bad, his family is from Germany but his dad was born 2 months after they immigrated, so him talking about his families German origins is pants on fire bad.

and, no he didn't get the military a 10% pay raise he bragged about. they got their standard raise and trump had nothing to do with it. he lied to YOU.

he lied about his worth and being self made with a small loan. LOL his supporters don't care - it's hilarious.

Trump did start out with a $1M loan from his father when he wanted to break into Manhattan real estate... a pittance compared to the prices of real estate in Manhattan. So that's true, and far from unusual... as to his net worth, what proof do you have about that? CNN would pay big bucks for Trump's financial records you seem have stashed away somewhere.

he lied about his wife's education cuz god forbid he date a women who didn't have one.

Oh, that's a new one. Got a link? Or did you just make this one up?

he lied about a military raise he said he fought for. who does that?

Another new one. Again, got a link?

BTW, I have yet to get a raise I didn't "fight for." Maybe you should try it sometime.

he lied about a middle class tax cut. remember that one right before the midterms when he was desperate? lol

The tax cut passed. You lied. Next?

he lied about paying off a porn star and playboy.

*yawn*

Bill Clinton lied about an affair under oath. *yawn*

he lied to all the folks who contributed to his charity foundation. the money didn't go where he said it would.

Care to point me to the indictment? Oh, wait, there isn't one... zero proof, just more allegations.

he lied about where his father was born. just #uckin bizarre.

You might want to actually read the thread... no one gives a flying rat's patoot.

he lied about his bone spurs. what a puss.

I'd love to see his medical records, since you have them.

he lied about windmills causing cancer. wtf.

Eh... you know, there is evidence that the low-frequency sound waves emitted by the larger windmills do cause some physical problems.

People who live or work in close proximity to [industrial wind turbines] have experienced symptoms that include decreased quality of life, annoyance, stress, sleep disturbance, headache, anxiety, depression, and cognitive dysfunction. Some have also felt anger, grief, or a sense of injustice. Suggested causes of symptoms include a combination of wind turbine noise, infrasound, dirty electricity, ground current, and shadow flicker.

That's from the National Institute of Health, by the way.

No, it's not the EMF (at least not exclusively, although an argument can be made that the ground currents are inducing an EMF), and so far no cancer has been reported (that I am aware of), but saying windmills have adverse affects on health is far from a lie.

and, he cheats at golf a LOT. what a guy..

The last time I heard something along the lines of that was back in 2nd grade... a guy ran out of things to whine about so he added, "...and you're ugly, too!"

...

Not one single supposed lie that you mentioned, even IF all of them are true, has any bearing on me or the running of the government. SHOW ME A FREAKIN' POLICY LIE AND WE CAN TALK! Otherwise, you're just acting like the 2nd grader I mentioned.

The military got the biggest pay raise in almost 10 years.

Trump is still trying to repeal and replace Obamacare which he started doing day 1 as promised.

The wall is getting built, as much as Democrats are trying to prevent it.

Mnuchin was working with the House on tax cuts, as Trump stated, and House Republicans voted no because of TDS. House members in areas where Trump is unpopular view anything Trump does as being bad, so they refused to vote in favor because of TDS.

At-risk House Republicans say no to new tax bill
The White House and GOP House leaders are pushing a second tax reform before the midterms.

www.politico.com...

So how does that compare with the lies of the previous administration I listed?
