Were Trump to have issues with his tax returns, what would be the outcome?
Would he have to refile and pay a penalty?
Would his accountants be liable?
lol
seriously
There is no way this bs gets him out of office, even if there are major issues.
This is more smoke screen bs from the election loss butthurt dems about the bad orange man and nothing more.

The fact that so many people on his campaign were approached by Russians isn't enough to look into it? They were looking at Russian interference and whether trumps people were complicit.
So they found that the Russians did in fact interfere and the trump campaign was just a useful tool.
Lets see the rest of the report to know how dangerous that is.
And lets see why trump thought is was such a good idea to lie and have his team lie about it all.

Approached?
you mean by the plants?
the attempt to entrap the campaign by obamas ic?
lol
boy are you gonna be surprised

oh and please provide ANY source that says trump had anyone lie about anything, source other than your bs wishful thinking please

Mulvaney: Democrats will 'never' see Trump's tax returns

hey look at that, an actual source
the site house chief of staff

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Sunday that Democrats will "never" see President Trump's tax returns. "Nor should they. That’s an issue that was already litigated during the election. Voters knew the president could have given his tax returns, they knew that he didn’t, and they elected him anyway," Mulvaney said during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday."

Mulvaney added Sunday that Democrats "know what the law is." "They know one of the fundamental principles of the IRS is to protect the confidentiality of you and me and everybody else who files taxes. They know that. They know the terms under law by which the IRS can give them the documents, but political hit job is not one of those reasons," he said.

sources are good

Kilbourn v. Thompson. The Supreme Court already ruled Congress can not delve into people's private financial matters unless they have proper legislative authority.

And... the House oversight committee has such authority.

Right. Let them take it to the Supreme Court. We know what that result will be. And so do they.

So, you see, the Trump Administration isn't saying that the law isn't on the Ways and Means Committee's side. They're saying that the Ways and Means Committee's motive for using the law, legally, is tainted. That's what the Trump Administration will have to prove, as this winds through the courts.

Good luck with that, based on all the legal trouble Trump and his family are facing, regardless of the Ways and Means Committee demand to audit IRS policy of the handling of US President's tax returns.

They lost the courts.
They either haven't realized that or forgotten.

Are you saying that Trump can and should obstruct justice in the cases surrounding his and his family's businesses?

I didn't post that.
Nothing as to the specific "legal trouble" you sited?

not surprising

You mean you are unaware of the various investigations into the Trump's businesses in Virginia and the Southern District of New York? Do you think feigning ignorance makes them go away?

Oh wait, no, you said that Trump's DOJ can obstruct justice and make them go away.

What investigations?
Go right ahead and source them if you would please.
Now that muller is done so is the "innuendo".
No reason why you shouldn't be able to back your claims?

The smoke is clearing, too bad you seem to be one of the last to see that.

Why should I list them to you, while you feign ignorance?

Anyway, the topic is the Ways and Means Committee. You posted Mulvaney's quote, and what is essentially the Trump Administration's defense strategy. They aren't arguing that the Ways and Means Committee doesn't have the jurisdiction, they're claiming their motive is tainted, therefore, the IRS shouldn't have to comply with the law. That's the argument that will wind its way through the system, that the Trump administration will have to prove.

lol
perhaps because you were the one to make the claim?
no worries

as to

they're claiming their motive is tainted

only because it is

also even cnn knows this is nothing but a smoke screen
www.cnn.com...

While Democratic chairmen across the Capitol want to see Trump's tax returns for their own investigations, Neal's formal request is specific and targeted: an investigation into a program that audits the taxes of sitting presidents. Under 6103, only Neal -- not the chairman of other committees-- will be provided the information.

as none of the congressional reps are tax attorneys their opinions will be worthless

trumps tax info will STILL not see the light of day, but the dems bs tactics will AGAIN be highlighted

Ok lets reinvent the fundamental principles of the IRS to force them to give over Trump's tax returns, in the mean time we can also force them to give up the information on 10 million illegals that also filed and kick them out of the country. I'm sure ICE would love that information from the IRS, but they can't get it...hmmm

The Ways and Means Committee isn't asking to make Trump's tax return public. And, yes the Dems tactics will be highlighted. They won the House based on promises to do just what they're doing. So, yeah. Campaign promises kept!

only because it is

Good luck proving that.

Want to make a bet that within a couple of days once the Ways and Means Committee get his returns they will be leaked to the public and become the talking points of the liberals for the next two years?

How do any of trumps business's figure into that?
Did he make a single request?
I would wager trumps personal taxes, if asked for separately, may be provided.
Too bad the dunderheads included the businesses. That is going no where as the law sited does not cover that info.

its there job.

No, they have oversight of the federal bureaucracy, not the President.

The Congress has checks and balances against the President. There's a difference. It's where the term 'separate but equal' comes from. Emphasis on equal.
