Question.

Because our democracy typically involves two parties, and one party kills all the members of the opposing party, until there is only one party left, or survivors of the second party are forced to succumb to the beliefs of the 1st party in order to continue their lives and those of their children and loved ones, is what is left still a 'democracy"?

Were a constitutional republic, not a democracy

When you learn the difference maybe youll be on the first start of actually understanding our government

Jesus Christ. lol. Any comment on the query?

It didn't work out to slaughter all the immigrants as they try to cross the border, did it? The term "deadly force" was used as I recall. Maybe killing all those little kids and their mommies wasn't such a good idea after all? Nobody else was much interested in that idea.

It never happened so, non sequitur

So now, the fantasy is to use those little machine gun - rapid fire things - to murder democrats? Soooo, ya want to kill the democrats. Alrighty then. Holy Mary Mother of God. Eat a snickers bar.

Were so glad you know the technical terms or even have a google idea of what the hell youre talking about, oh wait you apparently dont, and thats not what anyone said.

Anybody who pulls the trigger on one of those AK 47 things, or whatever weapon, at an innocent American will be shot on sight by police, or tried as a terrorist -- guilty of a hate crime, mass murder, and sentenced to death by the feds.

Being 60 years old and seeing many battles in the Navy, I can tell you if Civil war were to actually happen, your precious policeman (that by the way you guys usually hate because Black lives matter) arent going to be of any consequence.

These violent scenarios are fantasies. There will be no civil war. Just a bunch of angry people who will find themselves in prison in short order.

I sure hope your right and thats what happens before it gets out of hand and can be worked out.

How do I know this? A little document we call the Constitution.

The very thing the left want to tear up, and the rest of the country want to defend, which is the exact reason why it might happen.

Again the fact you think were a democracy and dont know were a republic, lends me to think you need to spend more time reading that document you dont seem to understand.

You said this-

I'm talking about anyone trying to change the constitution because one piece of it doesn't benefit them.

Then this-

Treason is the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.

I hope you see the irony.

*here's a hint, treason (as a crime, not a word) is defined in the constitution, the thing you get mad at when people change or misrepresent. Treason as you used it is a definition in a dictionary.*

if you knew a damn thing about our country and its founding you would know the difference between a democracy and a constitutional republic, since the founding fathers SPECIFICALLY chose to make us a constitutional republic and not a democracy

Jesus christ indeed, ignorance is a plague

From a resident Libertarian point of view (mine) it seems the rightwing on here, with all their Chicken Little civil war doom porning, are the ones itching & fapping for a war, not the other side of the fence.

It's very apparent to those sitting elsewhere on the political spectrum, observing. Fancy words and long posts are cheap. Reading between the lines is a wealth of info.

Does this mean you're not going to join in the shooting? I think we need to shoot more people, it solves problems.

Jesus has nothing to do with this, thats a huge difference, if you knew a damn thing about our country and its founding you would know that

Personally I'm going to 3d print DNA into a virus the kills people who have extended phone conversations in the same room as real life people in their presence.

That will be my contribution in the civil war. 70% selfish 30% greater good.

Yes.

Because this isn't "left" vs "right".

This is communism vs capitalism.

This is US Constitution vs Green New Deal.

This is freedom vs authoritarianism.

I would be all for repealing the 16th Amendment for improving the economy. That 25%-35% instant raise would be an absolute boon.

Banning guns, given the amount of guns sales, would hurt the economy a bit. Kinda like Prohibition did. Which come to think of it a gun ban would be just another prohibition again. Only instead of bootlegger gangsters wrecking havoc on cities like Chicago, it would be gang bangers freely robbing and shooting people in cities like Chicago. Just like now in Chicago only on a larger scale with significantly less chance of being shot by the intended victim.

Absolutely. Banning guns just gets them out of the hands of honest people.
