Do you guys have any other constitutional rights in mind, which could be taken from you in order to save the economy? Your guns maybe? I mean... you clearly don't need them anymore at this stage of the coup d'état.

No thanks.

Aside from protection from tyranny, there are more reasons Americans need guns. It might be easy to say for someone dwelling in a city of another country we don't need them... But there are expanses of our country here where you do. tens of miles from any kind of help in unforgiving lands, guns are the best insurance policy you can have.

Part of liberty is saying that you want to live out in the unadulterated wilderness, but you better be packing.

Those projects are vastly different. I wouldn't call the Italian joke an UBI at all. Nor the one from Finland. It's a good overview to start some research with, but you'd still have to do the legwork.

It's kinda funny that you should bring up the USSR though, that bunch of dirty commies without toilet paper wasted away quite a lot of aryan manpower. UBI, baby! And Russian collusions, of course.

you werent talking to me, but damn right......that doesnt know a party .......

Thanks for being honest. The two parties are like mega churches, they interpret and pervert the text to fit their agenda.

So far theyve tried both.........

I'd agree there could be a case made for attempts of sedition by factions of the left.... But not treason.

The treason aspect could be debatable, but yes its for sure borderline........the question is , how long before they say FK it.........

Both parties already have said FK it. The problem is people only get riled up when the feds go after their freedom in a perceived political fashion. So people get pissed when "the right did this to hamper the left" or "the left did this to hamper the right".

There has been a form of treason carried out by both parties IMO. The narrative we were sold is that the terrorists attacked us because of our freedom and way of life. So what was our reaction? The patriot act. So it was told to us an enemy who we were at war with attacked us for our way of life, and we gave them what they wanted... That's the closest exampled of treason I've seen in my life time, and it was carried out by both parties.

Except that "the right" is rolling high on propaganda from the Brave New Oligarchy, q.e.d. This isn't a left vs. right issue. It's class-warfare, and my fellow leftwinger cousins, like you neoliberal dreamers, chose the "winning" team for profits.

Theres no profit for us in civilwar........and theres no profit in socialism, so .........maybe think that through again......

Do you guys have any other constitutional rights in mind, which could be taken from you in order to save the economy? Your guns maybe? I mean... you clearly don't need them anymore at this stage of the coup d'état.

Perhaps read the constitution.........your argument is infantile and doesnt make any sense......

For decent people there wont be much to profit from a civil war, of course not. Not unlike the war on drugs and terror, btw.

You are quite right, I changed my mind and do no longer speak of “radical evil.” … It is indeed my opinion now that evil is never “radical,” that it is only extreme, and that it possesses neither depth nor any demonic dimension. It can overgrow and lay waste the whole world precisely because it spreads like a fungus on the surface. It is “thought-defying,” as I said, because thought tries to reach some depth, to go to the roots, and the moment it concerns itself with evil, it is frustrated because there is nothing. That is its “banality.” Only the good has depth that can be radical.

The Banality of Evil

LoL or 50s of miles!

The folly is people thinking that cops are there to save them.........what they fail to remember is that , the cops usually only show up AFTER the crime, unless youre extremely lucky.....

Protection is OUR responsibility , not them anyway, it never has been.......

The Irony is the same ones who think the cops should have the firearms and we shouldnt , are the ones who traditionally think the cops are all corrupt and cant be trusted...

They have no introspection on their conflict of ideology at all.......which pretty much explains their though process as a whole

Seems like you're buying what they are selling. The real "new civil war" is the ultra-rich vs the rest of us. It has nothing to do with the constitution and everything to do with misdirection. But all of the so called "political awareness" in the forums is nothing but sycophants of the same tribe masturbating over the same points and validating each other's opinions to excess. No change will come from this. Real change comes from hashing out ideas with people that disagree on fundamentals. Real discussion. Not the "you guys are (insert negative name here)" insults.

Until both opposite tribes come together and stop isolating themselves within their tiny one sided internet communities, nothing positive is going to occur. The "civil war" you refer to is going to continue to be isolated events with complete lunatics that identify as one side or the other...but the rest of that population disowns and disavows them.

Change has to occur with an open on honest discussion. That is what the ultra rich don't want any of us to do.

most of us know the patriot act was folly, even those that supported it at the time.

The problem is its not just the feds coming for those rights, its the far left as a whole, including the representatives.....

I would be all for repealing the 16th Amendment for improving the economy. That 25%-35% instant raise would be an absolute boon.

Banning guns, given the amount of guns sales, would hurt the economy a bit. Kinda like Prohibition did. Which come to think of it a gun ban would be just another prohibition again. Only instead of bootlegger gangsters wrecking havoc on cities like Chicago, it would be gang bangers freely robbing and shooting people in cities like Chicago. Just like now in Chicago only on a larger scale with significantly less chance of being shot by the intended victim.

Oh yeah, great stuff for wars on everything! Think about all the delusional safety you can have with that, wowzers! When we talk about constitutional rights, we need to realize how they are being taken from us.

Here's the rub: it's the mindset posting threads like this, whilst signing off on patriot acts like that.

What happens if the pro-Constitutionalists lose?

There is no "lose". We don't give that up.

hilarious

easy to be uber tough on ATS

Especially when we get a daily dose of what the beta makeup is of the left wing party.

It would be the same sort of prohibition that the drug war has been, that the left (rightfully so) are against.......

Why they cant see the correlation is beyond me..........well except for politics......

It's the right too. The right has been the source of the newfound net neutrality issue. Aside from illegal material, ISP's should have no say into what content we consume.... Yet it much of the right had their way, ISP's would have full control over what you consume.

That is one of the most dangerous cases of infringement of rights I've ever seen.

And to tie this with your last reply to me about the left wanting to take guns but allowing the cops to have them while being against them....

The right constantly talks about how the media is left leaning (rightfully so in many regards), yet they're willing to let Time Warner communications control what comes through their internet? Keep in mind that is the company that owns CNN.

I think many have brought up a good point in this thread, and that is if there is a civil war, it's between the elites and the rest of us. But it's not a war, they simply buy their influence.

Tell that to Germany, Vietnam, North Korea, Venezuela..........and countless others

This is why we cant have a discussion with so many, because this mindset that forgets history........

What Im about to suggest would be done through a constitutional, legal process. I would never condone disorganized, vigilante actions. That only causes confusion and chaos. But I actually believe we could legally classify at Least 5 or 10 million Americans as traitors who can be legally punished.

Take your average SJW Activist. How do you think they would behave if a sting operation were set up to see if they will side with, say, Mexico, agaisnt their own country?

So, yeah, I do believe we could legally swoop up large numbers of traitors. So with that being said:

I'm done trying to argue and be nice. Throw the sobs in a FEMA labor camp to learn the value of a hard days work. Thats the only thing that will get through to them and wake them up from this useless dream.

Its not that I Want to. Hell no. I wouldve hoped that logic and reason would win the day... I just dont see any other choice cause theyre just gonna keep destorying our country till there's nothing left... and lets face it, in every arena, they are weaker than us. We could do it. I've ALREADY lost more than I'm willing to give up of my country!

If the government doesnt do Something about the traitorous scum, then, eventually, people like me who are actually the level headed of the bunch, wont have the ability, the time, nor the desire to try to stop the vigilantes who havent thought things through but want to see some action and some change. The vigilante way is not preferable...but...when its all over, the result will technically be the same: Traitors go bye bye.

I'm anti-war, it's my most consistent position I have... Me giving up my right to have a rifle while I'm walking in the mountains does nothing to stop American wars. All it does is make me less safe in the woods.

The right has said no to net neutrality for that exact reason........

We dont have it now, tell me how restricted you are on what you say and do, besides FB and Twitter?

The left are trying to come up with a solution to a problem that doesnt exist, in order to implement controls that would do the exact opposite of what you think they would.......

because what, theyre suppose to shut down Time Warner? lol you cant just shut them down man.......

It use to be, but its not anymore.......unless youve been living under a rock, you can see its spilled onto the streets, onto every social media outlet, and to every household.......

People are ostracizing family members because of whats going on........

Hollywood is all over speaking out about their "grievances"

People accosting anyone wearing a MAGA hat.....

Harassing and accosting elected officials......

Destroying private property

Accosting people at their own homes.

They stormed the damn SCOTUS and tried to break down the doors, those were the people, misguided as they may be.......

Its not just the rich man..........this crap is in the streets now.........

I think (believe) that when/if the poo hits the fan, democrat and republican politicians will openly unite against the American people.

It's been obvious for quite some time that the republicans talk a great game but are no better than the democrats.

They represent government. And like a developmental stage of an insect, they are in a chrysalis right now and are ready to burst forth into the next stage in their evolution.

Government, for the past several decades, has been trying to find "work-arounds" to the Constitution.

Thats why now, it really doesnt have anything to do with those elected officials other than the fact that people are fed the hell up with them......

They are attacking each other in the streets and on social media.......

Thats why I think its going to happen there first......unfortunately........

But hey I could be wrong
