That's like asking while we still wage wars on drugs and terror.

and are recommending to end it?

Are they?
Put something up for me, you've lost me there.

Current UBI Experiments

There is no question, all 3 are foolish and destined to fail.........

I'm curious.

Many on (or near) the right suspect and dread a new civil war.

All we've seen is casual mocking from the more left-leaning members.

Is it because they don't think there will be a war, or do they think they will win it?

From a resident Libertarian point of view (mine) it seems the rightwing on here, with all their Chicken Little civil war doom porning, are the ones itching & fapping for a war, not the other side of the fence.

It's very apparent to those sitting elsewhere on the political spectrum, observing. Fancy words and long posts are cheap. Reading between the lines is a wealth of info.

Thats easy..........

Because you arent a libertarian

If you were, you wouldnt advocate for so many policies that violate libertarian views.......

You traditional back left-wing people, and not even moderates, that isnt libertarian.........

Many many people confuse libertarian with liberal, which is not the same thing...hell liberal use to not be a bad thing....actually given how far the left has gone now, its not even now........

I could be completely wrong and would love to discuss it with you through PM even if youd like, and maybe we can better understand each other.......

Finland is not going to extend theirs as planned and Ontario ended their August 2018. Experiments planned in the US are privately funded. Greece and Italy still have theirs going and yet both countries have been placed on austerity measures because the country as a whole is failing.

I would say this is off topic but it really isn’t. Normal behavior when getting a large pay cut at a job is to become angry and start looking for another job. To do a nationwide UBI in the US would be $1000 per month minimum and more than likely $2000-$2500 to actually live on it. Yank that after people get used to it and they will be angry alright, but they won’t be looking for “another job.”

But I have forgotten to mention the best failed example of UBI, the USSR. I heard it was bad to be at the end of the toilet paper line.

You know what the worst part of this is?

The anti-constitutionalists don't realize they're anti-constitution. They believe their actions will move the country forward so if they have to commit treason to do it, they will. This brainwashing is what makes them so dangerous to the progress (REAL progress) of our country that we love.

Except roads and schools and police and fire departments are not good examples of socialism. The first three are government controlled entities and the fire department can either be one as well or a volunteer organization.

Social Security is limited socialism by government mandate in which a percentage of your own personal means of production (income) is taken (by force of law no less) to fund the retirement and disability of others and should you retire or become disabled (by their definitions AND most likely have to go to abitration before a judge in order to receive) benefits as determined by the SSA. Social Security is really a social contract of a nature more similar to communism than socialism.

You're speaking of both parties here right?

I think you mean sedition, not treason.

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”

Warren Buffett

And who is supposed to argue with that?

So the left sees it as a class war like Red October and the right sees it as a battle for the Constitution.

Sounds about right.

Except that "the right" is rolling high on propaganda from the Brave New Oligarchy, q.e.d. This isn't a left vs. right issue. It's class-warfare, and my fellow leftwinger cousins, like you neoliberal dreamers, chose the "winning" team for profits.

More Patriotic Acts it is then, let's double down on Bollocks with more... Bollocks? Do you guys have any other constitutional rights in mind, which could be taken from you in order to save the economy? Your guns maybe? I mean... you clearly don't need them anymore at this stage of the coup d'état.

I suppose you could advocate for the confiscation of firearms and the abolishment of the 2nd.

I do have popcorn, be fun to watch.

But the primary Constitutional right that the leftists have a hard time dealing with is the 1st Amendment and the right to free expression.

Theres no profit for us in civilwar........and theres no profit in socialism, so .........maybe think that through again......

Perhaps read the constitution.........your argument is infantile and doesnt make any sense......

The conservatives were most definitely British, and the American populists were most definitely the libertarian left leaning for massive reform and change for the people and not be under the thumb of a monarchy.

This is what I'm talking about. Your ideology is bad for the progress of this country and you have no idea about it. You think your ideology is what would save it. America is split and there's nothing I can think of that will bring us together besides laying down all of our Conservative ideas and coming over to the left and that'll never happen. If the right was still allowed to think on their own and not be vilified by the left then this split could end, but I don't see that happening either. The left is too hardheaded in their identity politics and PC culture.

They know they cannot take the 1st w out first taking the 2nd, thats why now they are going all out, and why sheriffs in all these counties theyve tried it, are telling them to EFF off.......

They tried to pass 2nd infringement bs, and in Ariz, NM, Wa, OR, and CO the sheriffs are telling them to get bent

Thanks for being honest. The two parties are like mega churches, they interpret and pervert the text to fit their agenda.

So far theyve tried both.........

I'd agree there could be a case made for attempts of sedition by factions of the left.... But not treason.

The democrats and its cronies have been waging a cultural war for over 5 decades now and the principles that made her the greatest nation on Earth, truly free and prosperous.

There is no Dick Cheney, nor a certain Mr. Presents Bush.
And there will be WMD's in Iraq, somewhere. Sure.

Pesky muslims!

This is too easy, Mitch. You've gone nuclear already. Again. C'mon!

That has nothing to do with an American Civil War II.

The Constitution is built upon concepts of social responsibility, equality under the law and human rights.

I mean, look at your whole Bill of Rights (one of your three Constitutional documents)! If there ever was an all-encompassing socialist manifesto, that's it.

No, the ones who are trying to destroy the Constitution are right wing, selfish and greedy capitalists. There's almost nothing in the Constitution for them.

But it's funny how the 'propaganda arm' are constantly suggesting that "the left" are trying to undermine the Constitution.

The truth is that the Constitution is neither explicitly Left or Right. Their is such a thing as middle America, where the vast population sits. They are the true power and the true economy and the true country.

Have you ever heard of the electoral vote process? The right to bear arms? The right to freedom of speech? Democrats aim to rid us of all of those. Thanks for setting another example of those who are dangerous and don't realize it, so much so that you push blame to the other side with psychological projection.

The treason aspect could be debatable, but yes its for sure borderline........the question is , how long before they say FK it.........

I see your mistake. You equate moving forward as a good thing. Two cars having a head on collision at 65 mph because one was a jackass driving the wrong way on the interstate happens.

But both cars were indeed moving forward.
