I didn’t leave the window open when I left. Weird… What happened to my laptop!? Hello? Anyone? Why are there clothes all over the floor...? What are those banging noises? Oh god… The chairs are out of place. Papers on the floor. Who’s there?! Scared…. Oh! Cleaning day I see!

i think so too but i liked the idea of building up suspense per the competition and then deflating it in a surprise.

thank you; when I write it is often stream of consciousness. If it is a longer piece I will have a plot mapped out roughly but then just let it rip as if i am living in it.
it seems to work okay, but not if i want a quality ending :-/
